I know 99% of you dedicated MLB fans already know, but man o man was that an awesome way to clinch or what, I really thought St Louis was going to make a late game comeback and hold the Phil's off but it just wasn't in the cards

I really have become the definition of lurking here I rarely find time to post , banter and chat, after a long time recovery from surgery, some depressed times and now trying to be back to work full time I lost interest to the forum scenes to an extent so don't band wagon me I stop at Br.C every other day to read the sports threads, take care and good luck to every ones favs. , great time of the year, best sports time for me. Hockey around the corner as well.

What a game for the Giants beating the Rockies 12-5 who have now won 8 in a row, Panda hit 2 homeruns in the 4th, and Matt Cain hit a hr also!!! Still 5 games out with 9 to play, wish they didnt wait this long to get hot

Yeah, it seems I will sadly have to give up on my Angels this year. Texas keeps winning and the Angels keep playing terrible games like yesterday and the day before.

I don't even know who I would root for in the playoffs. The Rays are the only other American League team I would consider rooting for, but who knows if they will even make it or not.

As concerned as I've been with the Angels this year, next year should be worse. I figure they'll go out and get some hitters to match that excellent pitching staff and who knows? But this year, it looks like ours. Ya'll had it all those years. 2 in a row isn't that bad. Right?

I couldn't imagine them going out and getting anyone, especially anyone that would do any good. They keep picking up veterans with lack luster to average seasons, like Hideki Matsui or Vernon Wells. My biggest hope I can have is that Kendrys Morales comes back and continues what looked like would be a monstrous career. Though with him being out for more than a year and a half, I ain't getting my hopes up.

The Rangers always scare me, especially two nights ago when they got shutout by the Mariners. I'm hopeful for another good postseason though.

I'm still rocking my same avatar from the start of the season for luck.

Only 4 back of the slumping Braves....they still have a shot. Remember the Mets 2007 collapse, it can still happen.

Good Luck Navster, I hope they pull it off. Once again my Jays will finish a few games over .500 and 4th in the division. Frustrating, but it is what it is.

On the bright side, hockey is right around the corner.

Wow, Boston just lost another one. Lead over Tampa is down to 2 games. Hopefully the Yankees beat up on Boston and lose some games to Tampa.
