I believe the lead is now just 1.5 games.

Interesting schedules down the stretch. Red Sox play six more against Baltimore, who have been hot lately and three on the road against the Yankees where they are 6-0 this year. In fact, they play their last six games on the road. Normally finishing on the road may be a bad thing, but this years Sox have a better winning percentage on the Road than they do at home.

The Rays play Seven against the Yankees and three at home versus Toronto, who have won 3 of their last four and seven out of ten. The two coldest teams in the AL East right now are Boston and New York. It's going to be odd for Sox fans to be rooting for the Yankees to win.

Ya he is. Though we've only had closers since the 1970's. I still don't like the idea of them. Baseball was better before becoming over-specialized.

Actually, that game was orginally from April (which got rained out and I was there when they cancelled the game). I've held the tix all this time and by luck I found out that the game was being played on the 19 and I had a tix to that game.

Nobody can score off Kershaw, he's a beast this year and a serious contender for the NL Cy Young award.

But Ya Imagine if we had some decent pitchers, or bullpen, or bats or coaching lol Kemp and Kershaw have been our only highs this season.
