Yeah, I doubt at this point that the season will ever contract, but what I'd like to see is the 2nd wild card team, and the extra round of playoffs (3-game series).

Expanding the division round to 7 games (I hate 5-game series) would also be included in my ideal plan.

So that's an additional 5 games (the 3 game series, +2 games to the division series), which would be negated by shrinking the season back down to 154 games.

At that point they should reinstate Ruth's 60 HR as the HR record.

Just the Joe Torre factor and the Dodgers being so impressive since he took them over as Manager. It would be fun to watch.

I agree, and would rather see a NYY/LAD series. They've had a few classic World Series' together, but it'd be nice to actually see one live (since I wasn't alive for any of the old ones).

They last played in the Series in '78, but also met in '77, '63, '56, '55, '53, '52, '49, '47, '41. Of those 10, I think the Yankees won 8.

6 games left, worst they could finish is 100-62, best they could finish is 106-56.

I am hoping for 103-59. I'd assume Joe will rest some guys now that everything is wrapped up so I don't assume we'll cruise through the next six games.

Blue Jays last home game... 39,052 people showed up to see them play the M's.

Just incase anyone was wondering if Toronto still loved loved their Jays.
