Wow... rough start for Halladay early. He's given up 1 run on 2 hits and still no outs in the 1st. Come on Cards!

Well aware. Difference is that Swisher can be shown the door while they're forever stuck with A-Rod. Can't trade him and there's no buyout option.

It's comical how the Yankees bid against themselves. A-Rod, Jeter and now probably Sabathia this off-season.

Hard to say on Sabathia. The Yankees literally have to pay him far more than anyone else to keep him. That being said I could see another high payroll teams like Boston bidding on him just to jack up what the Yankees have to pay like NY did to Boston with Crawford this past offseason. Those two teams love to do that sort of stuff to one another.

He's a jackass but I'm happy to see Milwaukee finally get another NLCS appearance. Hopefully it's against St. Louis and not Philly. Cards are off to a decent start dinging Halladay for a run in the 1st.

I sometimes look at that guy and think to myself, "Is it possible that anyone on his own team can even stand him?" He just looks like the kind of dude who is d bag mode all the time.

I noticed a lot of these umpires have made some really bad calls this postseason. I dont know if TBS's strike zone graphic is right or not. But if it is, these umpires have called balls, for pitches that were clearly in the strike zone.

He's been pretty inconsistent today, but for both sides, so its not an unfair advantage for either team...

Your right about that. I am just saying, maybe the umpire needs glasses.

EDIT: I am hoping the Cards can score 1-2 more runs. Give us some padding, in case Carp starts making mistakes.

Carpenter might actually throw a shutout. His pitch count is low through 7 innings and Philly can't hit him tonight.

I am glad to see him pitch this well. But one of my big concerns is, Tony will pull him in the 8th for some reason. Then bring in someone like Rhodes(who is over the hill).
