LaRussa says that he called down to the bullpen twice and the guys in the bullpen got the wrong pitcher ready, twice.

So he was left with nobody ready and he felt little choice but to bring in Lynn to waste time with the walk.

You should thank the Jays, they got him from the Angels when they traded away Wells. Since Toronto had Molina and Arencibia catching they filled their other need and traded Napoli to Texas for closing pitcher Frank Francisco.

Sucks that Toronto lost Napoli in that deal but then again Arencibia is primed to be an allstar in a few years...just wait and see.

MLB, Frank McCourt trade legal jabs

Major League Baseball claims that Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt took nearly $190 million from the team in what a court filing termed "looting."

In filings in a Delaware court, MLB said McCourt took $189.16 million from the club -- $73 million in parking lot revenue through a separate company, $61.16 million to pay personal debts and $55 million for personal distributions, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing documents.

"The Dodgers are in bankruptcy because McCourt has taken almost $190 million out of the club and has completely alienated the Dodgers' fan base," the MLB filing said.

Ben Cherrington new Red Sox General Manager

Three hours after the Cubs introduced former Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein as their new team president, the Red Sox today introduced Ben Cherington as the team's 11th general manager in a press conference at Fenway Park. Cherington takes over during a trying time for the Red Sox organization, but he also takes over for one of the most successful executives in team history.

"I'm incredibly honored to be given this opportunity," said Cherington, who sat on the podium next to Red Sox president and CEO Larry Lucchino. "I'm incredibly fortunate."

Even though we have two chances to do it, I'm still a little nervous about having to win in SL. Also, though we're up 3-2, our bats still really haven't come alive the way they were in the regular season. Granted, we faced no slouch yesterday, but the rest of their starters and most of their bullpen we should own. I'm looking forward to the next couple of days and hope I can finally nab the WS Champs Rangers t-shirt I've been waiting for my whole life. GO RANGERS!!!

And Biz, we here in Texas certainly appreciate your rooting for our dudes.
