What he said. Weird thing is Cecil often had little Prince at his press conferences when many years ago when Cecil was still playing. The two seemed extremely close and happy.

Of course it also could have been Cecil trying to manipulate his public image. You never know what these guys are like behind closed doors. Everyone thought Kirby Puckett was a class act for many years before we found out about his treatment of women.

Prince and Cecil Fielder, it's been widely reported, have an icy relationship, stemming from his father's mismanagement of money and his parents' divorce.

Cecil, though, said the two have talked recently and "are doing a lot better than we were."

"Time heals all wounds, man," Cecil Fielder said. "Everybody has to come back together at some point. The No. 1 thing, I'm just happy for him. I think everybody was a little anxious for him to get signed. With what happened to Albert (Pujols, who signed a 10-year, $240 million deal with the Angels in December), everybody was waiting for Prince to go off the board.

Fielder said he wants to hit 52 homers in a season and win the MVP because his father never accomplished either. Doing that, Prince Fielder said, would "shut him up."

"That's why I'm so passionate about playing," Fielder said. "I don't mind them comparing me, but I'm totally a different player. Hopefully one day, whenever they mention my name, they won't have to mention his."

At least they seem to be working through their issues since then.

Actually though, stupid Jays for not trying to sign him. Nine years is too long but a five year 120 million dollar deal would have been good. Plus there's the whole his dad started in Toronto connection.

He's been a lot more durable than Mo Vaughn was in his 20's but no way a 5'11" 275 pound guy will make into his mid thirties without injury issues.

Well, here a McDouble is $1.06 with tax, so that would be 188,679,245 Mcdoubles and since there are two patties you would have 377,358,490 burgers

Depending on how serious he took the book, he would be anywhere from simply not eating meat and fish to not consuming dairy, caffeine (or artificial sweeteners) and refined sugar on top of that. Provided we give him the benefit of the doubt, how is he still that big eating salads?

He has been seen in public eating meat since that proclamation. I don't believe he is a serious vegetarian.
