To find someone wiling to take Marmol the Cubs are going to have to pick up the majority of his remaining contract. He's due $7 million this year and $9.8 million next year and no team would even consider paying near that much for someone as wild and inconsistent as Marmol. I still don't understand why the Cubs gave Marmol a $20 million contract. It's going to take a couple years for Theo to get the Cubs back into contention because they need to get done with some of their bad deals but like you I trust Theo to get this team competitive.

Our bullpen looks dominant this year which was our weakness last year.... atleast the Jays are off tomorrow so the bullpen should be rested for Saturday.

Took the day off work yesterday and watched the entire ballgame at a sports bar with 2 buddies. 40 chicken wings and 2 litres of Pepsi later it was finally over. My buddy drank 20 beers and got BBQ sauce all over his brand new Romero jersey. He passed out in my car and we literally had to drag him to his front door (right after he threwup on his own lawn). We were greeted at the door by his FURIOUS wife and his in laws. We said here you go to his wife and got the Hell out of there...he couldn't even talk (it was hilarious).

Many thanks to the Tribes manager, Manny Acta, for taking out Masterson after 8. If he had left him in, the game would have ended 2 hours earlier and we'd of lost.

Just hoping we win 100 games this year but unless our pitching staff steps up and Morneau and Mauer stay healthy I don't see it happening.

Playing in the easiest division in the AL makes 100 wins possible... yeah I hope Mauer and Morneau can both stay healthy and regain their allstar form.

Agreed, I hope Roy never gets a ring. Loved him when he was here but not now. Did you see how many Jays fans made the trip to Cleveland...I couldn't believe how many there were.

I haven't heard the city buzzing about this ballclub, this much in the last 15 years. It's Great to see.

The new jersey got here Wednesday and wore it yesterday. Unlike my buddy, I did not get BBQ sauce and vomit on mine.
