It's actually worse than that, he told the papers if he was picked as captain he would select a Royal in the derby. He backed off that promise once he was actually named captain.

Damn...CAno layed a big fat goose egg

I think the fans got to him a little more than he let on...but it also didnt help that he got in at like 4AM from the game ending at like 12:30 the night before...

oh well, we saw what he can do last year....

and damn Trumbo! that guy was CRUSHING balls...wish he made the finals but am happy with Fielder winning it

Yeah Fielder got hot at the right time and set the bar too high in the final. Good showing by Bautista this year though....was hoping he would win it.

Best part of the all star game is the Celebrity & Legends Softball game, loved when the crowd made Bo Jackson sub himself in to take the last at bat.

Just catching up on the player introductions, so some thoughts:

Jose Altuve looked so small between Aroldis Chapman and Clayton Kershaw.
How does a team as terrible as the Phillies get 3 players on the team? Papelbon is like the 8th best closer in the NL, but he's the 3rd on the team (not counting Chapman as a closer, since much of his work was earlier).
Was really hoping the crowd would boo Braun.
Loved the fans booing Cano again.
