His numbers are HOF worthy.

The last time he played in Toronto he said "what's there to do here, boring". This is without having checked out our Great city. Helloooooooooooooo, "Larry", our city is twice the size of yours and much more diverse. Wake TF up and keep your trap shut.....Idiot.

Then why do I always hear about Toronto not spending money because it's a "small market city" that can't afford it? In any case Chipper Jones is from my area and his hobbies are stuff like hunting and fishing. His idea of "something to do" is probably different from what Toronto is.

We have the 4th biggest population in the Majors and we're not far behind Chicago for 3rd. I've been asking this quetion for years. We continue to operate on a mid-level team salary.

The ownership group of the Blue Jays has spread the "knowledge" that they are a small market team so they can get away with a smaller payroll and bigger profits.

Funny how many team owners do that nonsense. I've never heard of the Pittsburgh Steelers referred to as "small market" either but the Pirates owners love to claim that label.

Strasburg pitched another gem. I sure hope Washington does shut him down for the year after a certain number of innings, but I bet they reconsider.

Do you have any idea how much S* they'd take (not just from fans but from the media) if they made it to the nLCS/WS and he wasn't around and they lost. I agree they need to think long term, but look at the cubs and sox how many amazing players like Ryne Sandberg came and went with zero championships... I mean Cal Ripken never got another one.

I know exactly what you mean and agree. I'd just rather he be shelved since I'm a Braves fan. Washington is for real and would be stupid for to pitching him the rest of the year. The Nationals fans need this run after so many years of mediocrity. And beside that I've never been a fan of these pitch or inning counts.

I hope he pitches if he's facing the Braves. They've had his number.

2-3 with a 4.70 ERA against the Braves in 6 starts. Only teams he's done worse against, he's faced 3 or less.

I love them and go to games all the time but I don't want them taking this town from the redskins lol they have a giant desert cart they bring to each suite and you can get as much a you want lol I was being such a fatty at the double header giant cookie ice cream on top and then a giant alive of cake

If Washington is so intent on shutting Strasburg down after 160 innings I don't get why around the beginning of July they didn't start using him less, like only pitching him every 7th game and limiting him to 6 innings per appearance. I've also read some people say they should have put him on the 15-day DL a couple times to limit his work and just make up an injury like a sore arm. Right now he's at 127.1 innings so if they stick with the innings limit he's probably only got around 5 more starts. Davey Johnson was adamant last week that the innings limit was for real and they were going to shut him down so there's a good chance his season will be over around the end of this month.

Is this really the first time Atlanta has visited Toronto? They're both East teams so I''d assume not. He's probably been around the city but it's just not for him. I mean I'm from the south and have been to a few large northern cities and found they just were not for me. Too overcrowded and stressful.
