The 1st two games of the Yank/O's 4 game series at Camden Yards are sold out. When was the last time you heard of a sellout there?

Correction. Tonight and Saturday's games are sold out. Tonight's game sold out due to the unvailing of Cal Ripken's statue. This is easily the biggest series at Camden Yards since 97 (the playoffs). Tonight's game almost feels like a playoff game.

Washington could very well win 100 games this year.

I always look forward to 100 game winners and losers. Looks like we could have two 100 game losers (and in the same division). Houston (obviously) and the Cubs. 11-15 to end the year would give the Cubs 100 losses.

Houston isn't just bad, they're one of the worst teams I've ever seen. They're on pace to go 44-112 at the moment. Their run differential is a staggering -204. Outside of Lucas Harrell no pitcher on that team has more than 7 wins. Since the All-Star break the Astros are 9-42.

Tied game in Bal. Hell of a game so far. You're right wingman we need 3/4. If that happens we'd win the series and would get the division if we tied at the end of the season. This would go a long way to boost the confidence if they can pull this game out of the grave yard.

Honestly, Harper is coming off more and more everyday like A-Rod Part II. A ready-made superstar with Scott Boras as his agent, but phony in all his dealings on the field and in the press. Harper will probably be the first player to break the $300 million barrier. Harper plays very hard and says the right things, but one gets the feeling watching him that everything he does has been carefully planned by other people.

I don't like that with success his douhebagness gets even bigger. Its one thing to joke around to/ chad style, but his attitude is such, I just don't think I'll ever come around. For instance if he hit a walk off homer in game 7 of the world series, I'd be happy, but knowing what he'd be like after I'd be sad lol.

exactly its just so phony, which is why I want them to win, but if he fails in a few years it wouldn't bother me one bit. I kinda hope he does , cause if he's putting up puljos/arod numbers + playoff success everyone around here will look past it and just feed that awful ego. I'm also not advocating being a saint, but at least a guy like tiger woods admits his faults or just doesn't give a s*, he tries to mask them with Nats PR.

No player will ever get a contract even close to what A-Rod got. It was a terrible deal.

I could easily see Harper or Mike Trout getting a $300 million deal. Both are scheduled to become free agents when they are 26 (Trout in 2017, Harper in 2018). I don't think a 10-year, $300 million deal is out of line for either of them if they stay healthy and are among the best players in the league when they hit free agency. Part of what makes the A-Rod deal so terrible is that it doesn't expire until he's 42, but with Trout or Harper they'd only be 36 when a 10-year deal would end so it's reasonable to think they'd still be playing at a high level throughout the contract.
