It will take a miracle I know, but it's been fun the past week or so. We pretty much had to play the rest of the season undefeated and we've done that 6-0.

that was my point, it is a play in game regardless of what the league wants to call it...

the whole thing is ridiculous imo.... the fact that a team (yanks and Os for example) may have to have 1 game to determine the division champ and then the losing team will AGAIN have to play a 1 game play in game to get the actual wild card is ridiculous....makes no sense that a team can go from almost winning the division, to not making playoffs at all if they lose the wild card "Playoff Game".

There used to be only 1 champ. Then there were 2. Ask Giants fans how they feel about the realignment after 1993. They won 103 games and missed the playoffs (2nd best record in all of baseball), while the 97 win Phillies made it.

yes, just like the tigers n sox... same thing...

my biggest problem i guess is the 1 game nonsense....should be at least 3 like you said...

preferably, id like to see the 2 wild card teams have a 5 game series, while all the other series would go back to 7 games....
