That's only happening for this year (due to this format being agreed to after the tv scheduling was already done). Next year will go back to the 2-2-1 format.

Yes it would have. Because now instead of hosting Friday's wild card game we're playing it in Texas. Doesn't really matter though because Oakland is going to destroy whoever they play against.

His career looks like a HOF career so far, but if he fell off a cliff tomorrow in terms of performance, he might have a tough road getting in. Always remember the case of Andruw Jones, who put up HOF numbers for 10 seasons and then magically got horrible.

But Andruw Jones never hit for the Triple Crown. Every member of the Triple Crown Club but Paul Hines and Tip O'neill (who played in the 1880's) is in the HOF. If he's not a lock, he's on the cusp.

They're not in the HOF because they won the Triple Crown. They are in the HOF because they were great for 15-20 years.

Like I said, 5-6 more good years. Right now, none of his stats are HOF. He has some All-Star games, and a Triple Crown. But he's only finished in the top 3 of MVP voting twice (including this year).

A's vs. Tigers @6:05pm EST Saturday ... lets hope our pitching holds, this isn't the same Oakland team we owned during the regular season.

Are you smoking something good WTF are you talking about. Miggy is a HOF player there is no denying that. He was nearly a gold glove 1st baseman with a career .317 avg thats only going up.

Andruw Jones was the greatest defensive CF ever seen for a decade while adding solid offensive output during that span.

That said as long as Miggy doesn't do anything stupid, he'll be in easily.
