Glad the NCLS is on FOX. I hate the TBS announcers. Even tho Joe Buck has roots with the Cards, he knows how to pronounce names correctly.

Rooting for the Tigers....i think it's Miguels year....Triple Crown, World Series titie...it all seems fitting. Plus they have Fielder this year so you can't just walk Cabrera anymore...he's got a protection bat this year.

the only good team in the playoffs now is the tigers. I am sick of all the same teams year after year who win the series, aka giants, cards, yankees.
I was hoping the nationals and the orioles would have taken it but now I have to root for the tigers

Born in NY, but can't stand the yankees

This is only the second time the Giants have made the playoffs in past 10 years, not sure how you can put them in that category

but tell me this wouldn't you rather see someone win the world series who hasn't won in the past 5 years, instead of them. considering the tigers haven't won a world series since 1984, I think that qualifies as someone new

look at it this way cardinals won last year, giants won the year before and the yankees in 2009.
so i just feel thats why it would be nice to see the tigers win for the 1st since 1984. just my opinion though

Detroit over New York in 7 - And yes I posted that pick yesterday before the series started. Look back and you can see my post from the other day.

St. Louis over San Francisco in 6 - I REALLY hope I'm wrong on this pick. I'd much rather San Fran win it.

It could be worse. You could be forced to listen to John Sterling and Suzyn Waldman call games. One sounds like Rosie O'Donnell and the other makes up annoying catch phrases to compensate for a lack of knowledge about the actual game.

They're going to be paying that fool >$20 mil per year until he's 41 years old. A-Rod is only 36 right now and he's devolved into a .270'ish hitter with <30 HR and 100'ish RBI's when healthy. Career he's only a .268 postseason hitter.
