I can't think of a worse place for a recovering drug addict than New York. This may just be the Yankees doing their due-diligence, but I would have thought they wouldn't have considered Hamilton. They said they were going to cut their payroll with baseball's luxury tax becoming more expensive, but they have offered Kevin Youkilis a $12 million deal and Hamilton would cost at least $20 million per year and probably closer to $25 million.

it may be why they are offering up Granderson to the trade gods now, hes at 15 if they shed him then Hamilton is now only 10 million a year

Hah, I wonder what a background check would turn up that every sports fan doesn't already know about Josh Hamilton. It does sound like a match made in hell. There's way too much to do in NYC. They'd have to assign a 24/7 babysitter.

The Braves just dumped $15 mill a year on BJ Upton. This is a guy whose numbers are quite a bit worse than Granderson's and Upton is something of a head case too. I can't see how $15 mill a year for two years is overpaying for a guy whose had 40 HR's and 100+ RBI's in back to back season.

Not saying it's overpaying. Just saying most teams are going to want the Yankees to offer some cash with Granderson to ease their own purses.

Lol, i'm with you brotha, I work 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week right now, dealing with customer trying to get the best deals all day long, Nov and Dec sucks working Retail, but when the paycheck comes in it will be more then worth it
