Sounds more and more like a 4th OF/3rd C/1st PH/DH spot is Evan Gattis' to lose this spring. It's early, but it's hard to deny what he's doing right now:

Gattis came off the bench to go 2-for-3 with a double in the Braves’ 9-5 win against Washington on Tuesday, making him 5-for-9 -- a Grapefruit League-leading .556 -- with two doubles, a home run and two RBIs in four games.

Haha, I agree. Athletes always claim it's not about the money when they take the most money offered. It's nice to see a guy being honest for once. Hopefully he keeps his mental health issues in check.

A-Rod can't catch a break. Now it's reported his charity is basically a fraud. Only 1% of donations ever makes it to actual charities. Sounds more like a ponzi scheme than a legit charity.

Unfortunately, it's far too common for non-profits in general. Though that is by far the lowest I've heard. I think the previous was 12% from another athlete's foundation.

What a weird story.

Martin surely didn't want to catch for Team Canada, because for all the rah-rah about national pride, the World Baseball Classic is an exhibition that has less to do with his actual paying career than even spring training. So Martin, who was drafted as a third basemen, went to officials with a request: he'd like to play shortstop. They weren't thrilled. Martin withdrew from the WBC.

''It's a pretty simple reason,'' Martin said Sunday. ''The Pittsburgh Pirate organization wasn't comfortable (with) me going to play shortstop over there. I don't think the Team Canada organization was too comfortable with me going to play shortstop.''

Well, I wouldn't call what the Braves put out their "A" squad. Only starters Braves ran out were Freeman, Uggla and our 3B (granted both of them started, one at DH).

On a side not, for me and other Orioles fan (who I haven't met, but would like to) on here, the O's are 6-1 in the Spring after their win today. Boy, do I hope that this is a sign of some big things to come this year .

Its amazing how young the O's staff is , while they don't have the name power the nats do with Stras, Clippard, Storen and Zimm I think they could be equally dominate (minus stras of course cause he's just on an HOF level if he's on)

I just hope Angelos KEEPS our talent in house!

Sure enough. It always nice to meet a fellow O's fans. Not too many I know are. I'm really hoping that some of the young pitchers can finally step it up this year and I'm really hoping Jurrjens can return to his All-Star form. I'm not sure mixing and matching pitchers is going to work this year.

That's the only thing I can hope for. You don't know much I would love to see Yankees and Red Sox fans rooting for their team to stay out of the bottom of the barrel. LOL.
