I know part of it is because UCF is still working it's way up the ladder of relevance in college sports and a lot of people grew up fans of other schools. But if you sent to that school you really should support it above any other. I ditched my UF gear for good when I started at UCF.

+1. Was a FSU fan growing up, but UCF is my alma mater, so I have to support them no matter what.

What years would you have been there? I actually did get my BS in CS there

A bit concerned by the performance thus far by my Toronto Blue Jays in this pre-season. Ricky Romero has amply demonstrated he needs to be relegated to the fifth starter role. Come on, boys, pick it up! I'll be there on Opening Night!

My wife and I are going to the Blue Jays@Phillies spring training game on March 29th. What should we expect from a game so close to opening day?

In Clearwater? And expect some starters to not start and the one's who do start to be pulled after 3-4 innings.

In that case if you wear Jays gear to the game you should expect profanity laced tirades, beer dumped on you and possibly a fistfight of two. I'd recommend going to the game undercover.

I went to a Diamondbacks-Brewers spring training game two days before the season opened last year and it was actually better than most spring training games in terms of regulars playing. By that point teams have sent down a lot of guys that won't make the team so most of the regulars played around six innings and some played the entire game. At a lot of the spring training games I've gone to half the regulars don't play at all and most are out by the fifth inning.

I've seen some of Justin Upton's HRs this Spring. That's some big league power right there. It'll be nice to see him get back up to the 30 HRs a season again.

Braves beat writer thinks Evan Gattis could wind up starting 2-3 games/week at C until McCann is back from injury.

That would be a great story. A guy who turned to alcohol and marijuana because he was afraid at failing at Texas A&M after turning down a scholarship to Rice. After rehab, he went to a community college in Oklahoma, hurt his knee, got tired of baseball and left. He then spent some time in Colorado with his sister before moving to Dallas to work as a janitor with his brother. He then met and followed a spiritual advisor to New Mexico, before moving on to Wyoming to work at Yellowstone and through California searching for his calling. He returned to college in 2010 and got drafted by the Braves in the 23rd round, and now he may wind up on the opening day roster.
