It was his third film, not his first. It pretty sure has to be the bloodiest I have seen, but it was also funny as hell .

The death scene that really stuck in my mind was in Saving Private Ryan when the German soldier slowly forces the knife into the US soldier while shushing him. Very simple but powerful scene.

Wouldn't say it's the best death scene but the way the criminal dies in Lady Vengence was one of my favs. Everyone gets a whack at it.

I concur, because I mentioned Kane's death in Alien on page 1 or 2, and not a single person agreed.

What movie had done that prior, or since?

I haven't seen this in ages, was the kid getting rolled over by the steamroller in the final cut of the film, I remember reading in Fangoria that the MPAA had a major problem with that scene.
