Random, but I saw a few of these at Best Buy the other night, and it looks like Universal is putting normal slipcovers on them now. There were 3-4 copies with the rounded corners, and the same number of copies with normal slipcovers. Not sure why they apparently switched, or if one is more limited than the other, but FYI anyway.

Yeah I saw the new slipcover at Walmart today. Weird that they switched to a square-corner BD-style slipcover for Oblivion but are still using the new rounded-corner 4K slipcover for their new 4K titles this week (Bourne, Secret Life of Pets). I wonder if they updated the Oblivion disc and this is a way to distinguish it? Probably wishful thinking...

i prefer the blu ray overall but the parts where is has great HDR really shine (like the part at the end when tom cruise flys the ship to the big one!)

I have a Philips 40'' non-HDR 4K T.V. set which despite not being HDR it looks great (watch it at around 1.30 m).
I have general setting for both UHD and HD/SD sources. I found out by tweaking contrast, brightness and color with the User set up I got Oblivion to look better, even better than the HD Blu ray version. With the standards settins you have on your T.V. try this on the User menu: Contrast +8, Brightness -2, Color +5. I'm very conservative with my T.V. set up levels as I don't like cartoonish colors or ultra-bright picture, so if your set up criteria is different yomay try increasing or decreasing those values. Give it a try, you may find a new level of picture quality. |

totally agree with this. the big landscape shots on lone survivor look jaw dropping. oblivion 4k is very soft in comparison. very annoying as oblivion is one of my fav movies ever!
