Sunset Song exteriors were shot on 65mm on the Arri 765 and all interiors were shot digitally on the Arri Alexa. We have a 4K master but don’t have plans to go back to 65mm print – it’s just not in our budget sadly!

This is a great list and I am enjoying going through it. I have two questions I'd appreciate if someone could help me with. Eat, Pray, Love has the reviewer on this site calling it a 1080 transfer, why is that? And why is 20,000 leagues on here but not available?

Talvisota (Winterkrieg) says it will be mastered in 4k In 1 month in a Finnish release. The other two releases are from DE and are an international cut and a directors cut. The international cut is the only one listed here. Anyone know if either of these DE releases are also mastered in 4k? The directors cut is also an hour longer than the international cut, so anyone interested may want to note that.

Because the reviewer is using 'transfer' to mean the 1080p Blu-ray encode, but I can tell you for a fact the final master for EPL was done at 4K.

No reason to think that the 'Mastered in 4K' will be any different for the Finnish release then? Just bought the directors cut anyway. Very thankful for such a great list....not sure my wife will be

I would think it's the same transfer, get the German version unless you're from Suomi.
I own the German version and it's english friendly and looks and sounds fine.
Regarding 20,000 leagues, it has received a 4K scan but remains unreleased on Blu-ray (hopefully coming soon)

Lucky timing for me there. I just cancelled my german order so that I can get the Finnish 4k remaster. I'll region test it once I get it. Thanks for your review.

I noticed The Big Heat on the list by last I remember I had read that was a 2K scan from a 35mm fine-grain master positive. I think the same as Sony's Gilda. I have not read that a new 4K scan was done. I noticed someone had put a up a link for some of of TT recent released in regards to new 4K restorations but Big Heat was not mentioned in that article.

On a side note it stated a new 4K scan was done for Johnny Guitar

Big Heat was added because someone provided info on that, don't remember who or when, Gilda is not on this list and never has been
