I am anxious to see what type of soundtrack it will have. I think I have purchased just about everyversion of this movie. I like the 6.1 better than the 5.1 ex that the extended cut had. HD is going to be awesome!! Any news on how many channels?

alright, seriously. what's going on? are we to assume that the september release has been changed to early-mid july? any other confirmation outside of the amazon page, and wouldn't the amazon page still show it as "pre-order" since it hasn't been released yet, even though it's been bumped up?

i'm especially interested in the extras right now since i don't have a sound system yet. (poor college student) any word on extras or if it will be a multi-disc release?

@^ No one knows anything about this release. It's up for pre-order. But it hasnt been officially announced for release by the studio yet.

Amazon currently has it marked "ships in 1 to 3 weeks".

Wonder if we could hold them to that.

I'm curious to see if they'll do a 6.1 track or even if they'll do something liked TRUEHD EX. I hope at minimum they do TRUEHD EX.

The odds are in favor Gladiator will look great. Just look at Ridley Scotts other BD releases: Black Rain, Kingdom of Heaven, Black Hawk Down, American Gangster and Blade Runner.
