This is starting to smell like Inside Man

Then I ask the question: If today Paramount sees the problem and decides to pull back, fix and re-release at another date, are you ok with that?

No. We check for ourselves and believe only what our own senses tell us.

Agreed! I have bought movies on Blu and loved what I saw vs. what the reviewer said on here. Comes down to personal choice I guess and what people ultimately want to spend their money on.

How long did it take Warner to catch the glitch in The Matrix Revolutions? Of course, that's a slightly different issue. More of a disc thing than an FX thing. But they have made it right....still waiting on my replacement copy

but what do I know?? I'm just posting to see myself talk!

Exactly and not rely on screencaps. I'll rent first.

Discuss the movie...... now is not the time to fancy yourself a Blu-ray soldier sitting behind your keyboard...... I happen to use AVS for info etc. quite often (although don't post much) as there are many many many knowledgeable people there. Your lump-assessments are unwarranted.

ANYWAY....

In regards to the movie.... I think I stated it before... but amazingly enough I don't own Gladiator or Braveheart on DVD, so I'll likely pick them up. If Gladiator is as flawed as it sounds, and overall "Soft" etc... Then, much like other releases.... the price will plummet, the re-sale shelves will be chock full, and I'll pick it up for a song and a dance..... If I find myself enjoying it greatly (haven't seen it in a LONG time) I'll gladly double-dip when a remastered version is released.....

Hear, hear. Although I would personally replace "now is not" with "it's no longer".

Well, I do trust my eyes when they tell me there's obviously something wrong with a frame. But I do also keep in mind that screencaps are not the whole truth.

Well, I'm going to hold off on forming an opinion on this subject until I read more reviews (including reviews from regular folks and not just reviewers from different video forums, etc.). However, I did just find another review which is from the UK. Note the link in her review and you will see things (gaffs) that are in Gladiator which apparently have not been edited out.
