They told you? From everything I've read, people that have called the number have either gotten a recording, or been able to leave a message (or talked to a person named "Jeane" who told them they have the wrong number.... that last one was me). What number did you call?

I called the number (323-956-3010) last nite & it was busy, then a recording saying the "mailbox was full". So I called today & got thru & was given an email address to send my info to (name/address/phone#) with "Gladiator" in the Subj. line.

Here is the email address they gave me:

phe_customerservice@paramount.com

Good luck everyone.

Sent them an e-mail. Though I really didn't mind the first release of this, if the new one's better and I can get it exchanged, might as well do so.

And that's all you will get if you call that number. The number I called is a 212 number… a colleague… you could say he is more of a client. As I’ve said in my posts, I’ve been in the disc manufacturing business (CD, DVD and Blu-ray replication, manufacturing and packaging) for 20 years. So I simply brought up the Gladiator situation and he knew all about it.

Lets face it, even if he was wrong, how many ways can the exchange go? The studio isn’t going to just give a Gladiator Blu-ray disc to anybody just because they called/emailed with "Gladiator" in the subject line. They’ll either need a receipt, proof of purchase, or the actual disc.

It's pretty awesome of Paramount

Be careful... You might run into one of those plumbing companies in New England that uses 867-5309 as its number (and jingle).

Like how Disney made people send back the first Pirates of the Caribbean disc? Or how WB made people send back the first Terminator 3 disc?

I'm just saying that it doesn't matter what you're profession is. You don't work at/for Paramount, yet you seem to act like you know all the facts when Paramount isn't talking yet. It'd be better for everyone to wait until there's official word from Paramount. Will they want the original disc back? Probably... But they haven't said anything yet.

Again though, I don't mean to offend you. I just think it would be best for people to wait until either Paramount or an insider lets others know what's going on.

I dont work for Paramount.. But the person/my client/colleague does... And he told me what will happen. I've shared that with you.

No, wait, wait, wait. Paramount won't want your original Blu-ray. They work on the honor system and will just send the new Blu-ray to anyone who asks.

Wouldn't be the first time a studio did that . . . you seem to miss that part each time it's brought up.

But anyway . . . the lady I talked to when I gave my name and number DID say that it would be a post-exchange type situation, ie, I would send my disc and get a new one in return.

Hah! I had a rep tell me I could play frisbee with my original POTC disc. They never asked for mine back.
