No sweat.

I do in fact have a sarcastic MO. But it is humor based, not inflamatory or insult based.

Anyway.... Paramount has had my old disc for two weeks now. Where is my damn replacement?

Got a call last night from Paramount asking if I needed any more info on where to send my disc. Weird, because the only place I put my number was in the envelope I sent my disc in with. Hopefully I'll get it by the time I get back from vacation.

I got a call last week saying they were returning my voicemail and then gave me the address to send it to. too bad I had already talked to a person and sent it in about 2 weeks prior.

Hey man, I got my Gladiator last december as a gift...no receipt.
Best Buy is kinda anal on receipts, it took a long time of argueing with the service return lady about that fact.

When I first walked into BB, the security guy told me to go and grab another copy for an exchange right at the door...I should have done it that way but I had a guy place a none "2 disc set" copy in service area and wasnt sure there would be more on shelves (there were).

Not sure if that helps you but good luck.

>I look at copies of Gladiator blu-rays at my local Wal-Mart and Hastings store and none of them state on the back that they are 2-Disc sets. So would these be the remastered version?<

Can anyone verify to my question above?

If these are in fact the remastered version, I'd like to know so that I can pick up a copy right away!

Just got my replacement this morning. Came in a hard envelope via FedEx and it was just the disc only in an envelope.

Great news! I sent mine 8/4 as well but I live on the opposite coast, so I don't expect it for another week and a half at the earliest.

If they don't state "2-Disc Set" on the actual back cover (not the slip), then it should be the new set. Also, the new stock doesn't have the security sticker at the top. I've seen the new versions in Best Buy and Target in my area.

I saw it in Walmart a couple weeks ago and couldn't resist. I just grabbed it up and I really don't regret it. You're gonna love it man. I hope they get it to you really soon.

I keep asking also how to tell which is remastered in store and have not received an answer either so I am watching your question as well.

Yellow UPC, No "2 disc set" above the paramount logo is the remastered version.

Seriously, that info is posted ALL over this thread.

There will be a yellow UPC on future inventory. It just has not been altered yet. The first question asked by the reps when you call is whether or not your UPC is yellow or white.

But if he's looking for a copy now, then it's probably white. Unless I've read wrong, no one has reported a yellow UPC. The 10th Anniversary Edition will be the new remastered version, as it is in Germany and Holland (with a corresponding new UPC, not yellow I hope ).

Glad to see replacements are beginning to arrive. I sent mine out on the 6th so hopefully I'll be seeing mine shortly. I checked at Wal Mart last night for giggles and all of their copies were sans "2-disc set" with no security tape.

I shipped my copy back a little over two weeks ago. So far the replacement disc has not shown up but Paramount is still calling me to discuss the return options (3 times already).

I will be very happy if the replacement is delivered within the next week or so.
