Okay, it would take me a total of 5 hours to drive to and back from Valencia, yet people on the east coast have gotten thier copies and I haven't. What the hell?

Just for those who are trying to estimate . . . I'm in Florida, my disc was received at Deluxe on the 6th, and I received my replacement today.

I would probably call back, ask to speak with someone knowledgeable, and find out what gives...

That's just me, though.

I am on the frustration island as well. Did my envelope get buried beneath the incoming discs? and get put in the back burner

It's fully possible they will just claim they never got it.

I, personally, don't see anything wrong with exchanging it at a store (except for the fact you could still pick up an old copy if you're not careful which is what I did.)

I know I filled out the rebate form for the DVD owners correctly and taped the POP's to the form and everything but they sent me a letter saying my application was incomplete and gave me a week to send whatever was missing. Doing the "right thing" in this case is risky and frustrating. Remastered discs are sitting on the shelves of your local stores most likely. I wish Paramount had done the right thing and made an in store exchange official. I don't think it would have cost them any more than the way they are doing it now.

Yup I totally agree, I just called them and told me that they will follow up with me in about 2 days.

Yep, on hold now.

EDIT: They took down my information and told me they'd be contacting me within the next 48 hours. Brilliant. Frustration just went up a few levels.

EDIT 2: Called Fed Ex and they have no packages headed to my address. Awesome. Thanks Paramount.

No offense to anybody but this is the reason I just went ahead and paid 20 bucks or so to nab it when it was available at Wal Mart. The frustration of waiting wouldn't be worth it!

I mailed mine using just a cheap padded envelope and took it to the post office. Cost me about $1.

MINE FINALLY CAME. I just got a message from the wife and Gladiator awaits me!

I live near Pittsburgh, mailed it August 2nd.

I suggest calling Fed Ex and ask if there are any packages headed to your address. That's the easiest way I can think of to find out if it's even on the way.

You may be in the same boat I'm in. Hopefully they'll be shipping out their next batch today or tomorrow.

FedEx just dropped off my replacement a little while ago. I've sampled several scenes from around the movie and I'll I can say is WOW! I thought the original Blu-Ray looked pretty bad, but I wasn't expecting the replacement to look this good. There's so much more detail and much better color. It looks amazing. Thanks Paramount for replacing these discs for free.
