Received my new copy, looks great, and I have to say it was very easy to get my new copy, took about 2 to 3 weeks which is what they said.

Anyone who didn't previously own it managed to find the remastered at a retailer? I would have expected to be able to get my hands on one at Future Shop or Amazon, but from what I've read, it's not widespread yet...

Have tried to google it, but by George, I can't find an online shopping source that explicitly lists a sale for the new release (and I did confirm with Amazon, they do not offer it yet!)

Saw a copy at Charlotte, NC Walmart with no "2-Disc Set" above Paramount logo on back. Ordered it at walmart.com to get a discounted price, with free Ship to Site. IF it is not the Remaster I will simply return/exchange it in the store....

I anticipate that the upcoming release with Robin Hood and Gladiator will ship with the official remastered disc, yellow UPC and all. That's when I anticipate the new release will be widely available separately as well.

Surprisingly no, Amazon did not know when they would have the new edition on stock...
I guess one can buy the previous one, and send it for an exchange, but it sure looks like pain... I'll probably sit tight for some time until I see it available elsewhere...

Original was Region locked.

Here in Region B land, we are stuck with the original with no sign of an exchange plan.

This thread - Gladiator 10th Anniversary blu-ray Netherlands details the Gladiator remaster that's available in the Netherlands. Amazon DE also has a pre-order up for it in Germany. The rest of the world shouldn't be far behind.

Well...I was expecting UPS today..(another Amazon Blu-ray) and heard a truck pull up and noticed it was FedEX.....I knew what that meant. Got it to Pa in less than 2 weeks. Very fast turn around. This totally made my day. Now I can stop worrying about if they got it or not.
