I must have missed how awesome the acting was. It was pretty good but I wasn't amazed by anything.

Now that they have fixed this blu, I think I will go out and see if I can find a remasted copy this week and give it a look. I think I am one of the few that held off hoping for an updated version.

Take note too after you open the remastered disk -- here's another clue you have the remaster -- look toward the bottom right on the back of the blu-ray cover (not the sleeve); if it reads TM & copyright 2010 DW Studios L.L.C. you have the corrected copy. DNR'd copy will read 2009

In English:

There TWO different and completely seperate packaging alterations that denote the 4k remastered version:

The original packaging alteration removed the 2-Disc Set from above the Paramount logo on the cover art but the UPC is still white. DO NOT, I SAY AGAIN DO NOT USE THE SLIPCOVER AS THE INDICATOR.

New inventory being sent to retailers will have a yellow UPC. THE COPIES WITH A YELLOW UPC WILL STILL HAVE THE WORDS "2-DISC SET" ABOVE THE PARAMOUNT LOGO

ONCE AGAIN, THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT AND COMPLETELY SEPERATE PACKAGING ALTERATIONS.

If people would just go back a page or 2 and read they would see all of this, I understand the frustration.

I don't understand why the reviewers here even bother writing reviews for the actual movies. I just want to see if the PQ/AQ is worthy. If I wanted someone's educated opinion on a movie I want to see, I'll go to Rotten Tomatoes.

I completely disagree, Chloe is absolute rubbish. Not only is Gladiator better in all aspects you listed, it's also a much better story, which is kind of important for a good movie. The story for Chloe is ridiculous, unbelievable, and just lame.

What a difference. The new disc is great. No smudges or disappearing fireballs. Why in the hell was the first version ever approved and released?

The new version looks so great that Russel turned into Mel and became Scottish and says, "...they may take our lives, but they'll never take... OUR FREEDOM!"

USA Telling the differences between discs

May be a stupid question - but are the UPC codes different for the different releases?

Default Differences

Is there anything on the packaging or sleeve that would let me know which version it is?

Hi,

2 questions:

1) What is the region coding on the new version - A (USA) and B (Europe) or just A (USA)?

2) Is the UK getting a remasterd version?

3) Will the remasterd version be on Amazon.com? The current one I believe is still the old one.

Thanks..

That's three questions, one of which has been answered in the UK subforum.
