Wow, 276 pages of fuss over one BD

Are they finally selling remastered version everywhere by now?

Default order from amazon got the remastered.

Awesome! Ordered a copy from Amazon. If it's the remastered version w/slipcover then I can sell my old remastered w/o slipcover. If it's the old version with slipcover then I'll take the slipcover and sell the old version.

I just received the German 10 Anniversay Edition yesterday. The theatrical and extended versions look perfect now unlike the original BD release. The contrast is lower but I like it because the blacks look deeper and the colors look better too. Also, significantly more detail, little or no DNR and I can at last see film grain.

How many of you have recently ordered Gladiator at Amazon.com and received the remastered version????

I'd like to know whether it's save to order now.

Thanks a million for the help!

Buyers will need to look at the back cover's bottom right-hand corner for a Paramount logo, and if the words "2-DISC SET" are present, that's the old copy; the new versions do not contain the "2-DISC SET" lettering. Please see screenshot 20 (click the "Screenshots" tab above) for a photograph of the difference, with the new release on top and the old release on the bottom. Also please note that some buyers are reporting that Paramount has changed the UPC code on the back of the box to a yellow color with the latest pressing of the new release.
Here's the deal: the copy I got from Amazon has BOTH the 2-disc set lettering AND the yellow label. Now i'm confused. >.<

Oh I know i have the correct copy-- I got it off eBay and it has no 2-disc set lettering on the back. The copy I ordered from Amazon was just for the slipcover, however I'm confused as to whether that new copy is the new or old version due to the the conflicting information with the 2-disc label and UPC color. If the label is yellow then there shouldn't be two-disc set lettering, but there is.

Mine has the yellow UPC and the 2-disc label. It is the remastered version. If you have the yellow UPC you have the correct version.

There is no separate listing for the remastered Gladiator Blu-ray. Amazon has completely phased in the new version to it's preexisting listing. Order that one and you'll get the new version.

Sounds promising, but how do you know that? Why are you so sure?

yea there is no way really what you are gonna get, but the no 2 disc on the logo and the R2 at the bottom of the disc assures me its the remastered one, even though I have the white UPC
