Same as originally released.

Paramount/Dreamworks only did two alterations: White UPC lost the words "2-Disc Set" above the Paramount logo and the Yellow UPC has a bar code inside a yellow colored box.

Any news if Amazon is shipping the remastered version? I contacted them, but they're not giving me a straight answer.

I'd get it right now if it were $10 like its Sapphire counterpart, like Saving Private Ryan just was. Same price I'm waiting for on American Beauty.

I have a question - I've been reading through this and it still seems like we're not 100% sure which version is being shipped by Amazon. Did they discontinue the other one and just the new one??? How would I know it's the right one?

I'm not aware of any official announcement by Amazon, but everyone recently that has ordered a copy from them has received the remastered version, so it's pretty safe to say that Amazon replaced the old ones.

Just so you all know ... I ordered another Gladiator from Amazon as a Christmas present. Received a White Labeled UPC . Good news though it was the one without the 2-disc label above the paramount logo. So still the 4K remaster. So they may not send you a yellow UPC version. But they are still sending at least a 4K edition in one shape or another.

Question

Sorry, I haven't been visiting this thread for quite a while.

The last time I ordered Gladiator from Amazon.com (even asking the CS rep to verify that they were shipping the remastered copy), I received the old one CS was nice enough to allow me to return it on their dime, but I'm hesitant to order from Amazon again.

Is Amazon safe to order the remastered edition of Gladiator?

Thanks.

Default Used: Distinguishing Remastered from First Press?

I bought Gladiator new along with Braveheart last year and then returned Gladiator after all the fuss. I lost track of when it was going to be released and just found out it's available. I saw three used copies in a store yesterday, but they all looked identical to the copy I saw in Best Buy last week. I was thinking of buying online from Amazon as I do for most of my BDs but thought I might want to actually see it first. All of the used copies said copyright @2009. Does the remastered say @2010? Is there anything on the outside of the box that shows its the remastered? Is it just the yellow UPC? Is there anything on the disc(s) (particularly the movie one) that shows its the remastered one just in case some nice person decided to place the old one in a case that shows remastered? Any additional insights here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT: Ok, Thanks to jw the Super Moderator for providing an image of the box four messages down from mine. I see the @2010 on the box. I do not see "Remastered" anywhere. And, I see the yellow UPC although the writer below me seems to say some remastered could have a white UPC - no wonder there is confusion. I saw two copies of Gladiator in Walmart today. The UPC was white and the copyright was @2009. I can't believe that Paramount would allow Walmart to sell the old version!
