Anyway,I swapped out my original Gladiator with the "missing arrows" and incorrect formatting for the corrected version but never really noticed the difference. Oh well. Still a great movie.

It is unrelated because it doesnt mention one word about whether or not this release has the remastered version.

You should see it clear as day in the opening scene
If the arrows mysteriously disappear in mid air the you've got the old one.
The remastered one is titled 10'th year anniversary edition, this is the remastered steelbook

I absolutely love that steelbook with the helmet on the cover. I wasnt aware of it when i ordered this one, now im kicking myself.(seriously considering buying that one too.)

If I'm not mistaken, I think that one hasn't been remastered and it's out of production. I once tried to buy the case only and the seller wanted about $75.

Yeah, i would just be getting it for the case at this point, since i have a copy already that i watch, but, 75 bucks is pretty nuts, with or without the movie. But, so goes the steelbook market.

Got a question...
When the Paramount 2-Disc Sapphire Series release went OOP and Warner released what I thought was just a 1-Disc re-issue of the remastered version. I just checked again, and it says that the Warner re-release is now a 2-Disc re-issue.

I remember people telling me that if I want the 2-Disc releases of Gladiator and Braveheart that I better buy the Paramount releases quickly before the prices skyrocket.

Could someone tell me whether the Warner re-issue of Gladiator is indeed the same as the Paramount remastered release or whether it's actually just a 1-Disc release and someone has been messing with the page?

All the WB re-issues are exactly the same as the old Paramount ones except fro the UPC code. They are using the same Paramount masters and the discs have the same ID, and all 2-disc sets stayed 2 disc. Earlier speculation ran wild that all second discs would be dropped, but none have been yet.

such a great movie... i have a Blu-Ray Edition...

Is this true for the upcoming US steelbook as well as the WB amray version?

Not positive, but I would bet the farm and anything else I have on yes. 99%+ of steelbooks or digibooks are the same discs as the standard versions, just in nicer wrapping. So far, 100% of Best Buy ones are the same and if I recall correctly, Gladiator is part of the next wave of BB steels.
