So what I'm getting from these posts is that the Gladiator Steelbook just released today is the same as the remastered Gladiator back in 2010. I already have the crap version, and trying to replace it with the remastered.

I am in the exact same boat. Any info?

I just want to replace the faulty disc with the remastered version at the cheapest price possible.

The steelbook is the remastered version and includes both discs from the saphire series release.

Thanks for your help guys. I like the idea of returning the disc, but I think the steelbook will look better in my collection.

Picked it up at Wal-Mart for $12 and watched it over the weekend. I gotta say that it looks good, but for the life of me I cant tell if it's the remaster or not. Is the difference THAT noticable? I've also been unlucky in trying to get an official word from paramount as well

*UPDATE*: Got a reply from Paramount Customer Service "if your blu ray has this marking on the inside of the disc, NA13081B1R2, then you have the correct version."

Gonna check mine out when I get off work *fingers crossed*

I was just sifting thru a seller's stuff on eBay and I ran into one that has thrown me off a bit! >.....Just what in the heck is going on HERE? Anyone here have a clue? ....or is that just one very lucky seller?

My question is, where is the 6.1 audio track (discreet DTS-ES) that was on the DVD? The BD is only 5.1.
