Folks this may seem nuts, but Amazon has confirmed payment for Gladiator with a delivery estimate of July 8, 2009 - July 15, 2009. What the frak is going on?

It says it is the Blu format but this is not set for release until September? Right? Am I nuts or is this an incredible blunder by Amazon?

Ok I think I understand why they are going DTSMA for GLADIATOR. I think that's the preference of Ridley Scott. I don't think it's a studio change.

We are so lucky that Blu won. There's no way both versions would fit into a 30gb HD DVD.

Excellent news about this and Braveheart coming out on 9/1/09. Glad there's both versions of the film and plenty of extras too. Looks like I'll be picking up two new blus for my birthday!

For all you steelcase fans the UK packaging has been confirmed....

And as its being published by Universal (and is identical to the Paramount version) it will be region free too

Shame about that f*cking bbfc sticker though
