UPDATE (05/14/2024): “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan is returning to the big screen with “F.A.S.T.,” an original crime thriller set at Warner Bros. Pictures.

Brandon Sklenar, known for “Yellowstone” spinoff “1923” and “It Ends With Us,” will star in the film, which will be released in theaters on April 23, 2027.

Ben Richardson, a series director on “1923” and renowned cinematographer, will direct “F.A.S.T.” in his feature directorial debut. Sheridan is penning the script, about a former special forces commando who is tapped by drug enforcement officials to lead a black op strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers. Additional cast members have not been announced. source

I’m a little hesitant about Pratt elevating whatever script he has, it’s enough to peak my interest.

Heard that he was good in Zero Dark Thirty, so I have faith that he'll be good.

I like Pratt, but I'm not sure if he can do this character. Other than that, looking forward for another Sheridan.

Sheridan's been batting 4 out of 4 for me (still need to see Yellowstone), so I'm pretty much down for whatever he does. From the premise, it sounds like a more "positive" take on the Sicario films.

Like people have said, Pratt fit in fine on Zero Dark Thirty, so he should be able to do a full film in that vein, especially if he's got a good script and director behind him.

Will watch anything with Chris Pratt, and Taylor Sheridan just sweetens the deal.

When he has a meaty role, he can do a good job. I thought he was good in his limited side role in Her, and as others have said, he filled the shoes appropriately in Zero Dark Thirty. The problem is some movies have just asked him to be Chris Pratt without giving him something meaty to chew on (Jurassic World, The Magnificent Seven). Here, with Sheridan writing, he should have a substantial character arc to play with.
