Sounds like Fox is planning another Firefly release. Let's hope they don't pull a 24: Season 1 Special Edition and actually release it on Blu as well.

Fox is very well aware of the value of Firefly, and the fact that it probably sells BETTER than 24 season 1 on a regular basis

With Joss's new show Dollhouse coming out in the fall this would certainly be an opportune time to do so

Wicky, I remember reading some concerns over how the special effects were mastered in standard definition and how it wouldn't translate to HD - any insight on that?

I would love to get Firefly and Serenity both on Blu-ray. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

"Firefly" aired on UniversalHD for a while (I haven't seen it on the schedule for a while though... so I don't know if it's still on or not)...

Regardless of whether they were upconverted like Wicky said or not, most people shut up about the above after UniversalHD started airing them. A definate purchase for me!
