Seems to imply a lot of orders for BDs, that's for sure!

It's wierd how exciting this is. All I can say is I sure hope it all becomes official real soon!

Edited to add:

And I hope it's WB and Universal going Blu!

ROFLMAO,

If someone could come up with a way to harvest all of the energy produced by all of us here in our excitement and WB buying frenzy, you could run those BD 50 lines at triple speed for a loooong time. Do us a favor though, while Dr. Bell is leaning over the belts, tie his shoelaces together.

Seriously, thanks for giving us so much fun and energy and for making us feel like a part of all of this.

Now, I am going to go use some of that excess energy to go preorder Rush Hour 3 before they figure out how to wire us all up.

Chris

PS, I know you all have your noses to the grindstone, but don't forget to take a little time out for some eggnog, or at least the high proof additive if you don't like eggnog.

what does a blu-ray pressing machine look like? I always thought DVD pressing machines (and HD-DVD/Blu-ray for that matter) were like like a DVD burners but specialized as you can't see the edge of the burn on the optical disc...

I think you can't see the edge because it burns out to the edge of the disc whether or not it's needed. Some PC burning software will do this for you (or burn messages into the area, lol).

I actually own a few music CDs where you CAN see the edge of the burn.
