Im not understanding the hesitation to use F@H in the first place. If it takes LWP to get people to contribute to society then by all means merge the two.

Agreed its not like Folding is even in the way its just running in the background and you can see your progress if you wish. People are so damn selfish and whiny its unbelievable.

Even if a person plays video games 4 hours per day, the other 20 that would be spent with F@H running accounts for $208 of that bill. If you have parents paying your bills for you, or if you are a student living in a dorm, or if electric is included as part of your monthly rent, then I can imagine not caring about this. But if you pay your own electric bills, $200 is certainly something to consider. Unless you REALLY feel like you're helping find a cure for cancer, you're just throwing money away. |

right. i always try with the XMB button first. Thanks guys
![]() very slick so far and seems like an even greater incentive for more people to use it now and fold at the same time. Hopefully in the future they'll release even more content for this APP. Do you guys know if it's folding as fast even when it's on the LIVE channel ? Last edited by silversnake; 09-18-2008 at 07:34 AM. |

Like showing your friends online on the globe, or being able to set a hometown, or obviously different news for sports , business , etc. They have to do something with google earth, would be sick if you could use that while folding on your HDTV ![]() oh and be able to zoom in the browser as well, don't' know why you can't do it here when you could before on folding at home. 3 day , 10 day weather report would be nice as well ![]() Last edited by silversnake; 09-18-2008 at 07:53 AM. |

For some reason I am having an internet problem today. Took four tries to get the thing to install. And then once it installed, I had problems logging into my account, so I had to login using my other accounts to get the full effect.
And the full effect is VERY NICE! It's cool to see the cloud formations around the world. Stirs up the wanderlust reading all the news headlines! ![]() fuad |

Weather updates are automatic. If you want to the weather systems (clouds and storms rolling through), pull the right analog stick down. It pulls back your view. BTW, don't try to look for weather systems where it's dark. You won't be able to see them.
I love being able to use my playlists or choose individual songs. You can do little web browser tricks (throught the news article web pages) to get to your gmail and using the google search to get to other websites. Plus, I still love the auto-console shutdown and auto application start-up modes. You can switch between interfaces (original F@H view and the LwP channel view) by holding down square and use your up and down on the D-pad. Hopefully this will bring in tons more people and really help the protein folding program. It should help accelerate finding a cure for Alzheimers and Cancer. People constantly using this program should feel better about themselves knowing they are helping others out. |
