Did anyone else watch a Blu Ray movie last night after installing this?

I started to watch Forbidden Kingdom and we get about 30 minutes into it and it freezes.... stayed frozen for a couple minutes then the screen went black and I got an error for the ps3 saying "Invalid Disc"... been playing Bad Company for a few hours before and didn't have an issue... So it kicks me back out to the XMB and I notice that the icon for the BD is just a picture of a disc instead of the gifi like picture that was there before (you know its usually a scene from the movie or the title or something).... So I try to access it... screen goes black for awhile and comes back again saying "Invalid Disc".... I try to exit but nothing... I try to turn the ps3 off and it wouldn't, so I turned it off in the back, waited 10 seconds then turned it back on... I ejected the disc and waited for the XMB... I then put the disc back in... It comes up with the title of the movie again and the proper little gifi next to it.... So I click on it and the movie loads to the menu just fine.... I go to scene selection and go back to where I was... Played for a few minutes and the whole thing started again! It didn't freeze at the same point in the movie again so I don't think its the disc also because I borrowed it from a friend who watched it the night before....
I took it out and put in U571 to see if it would work... and it worked no problem, well I only went to the menu, but I should have started the movie and see what happened.... but it was late...
So I dunno whats up, only thing I can think of is ts b/c of the Life w/ Playstation I installed last night?? I dunno what to do.... I hope its just a bug and an update for playback compatability will come out soon as they have in the past....
Any ideas? Anyone have the same problem?

You got me. I don't use the blu-ray movie feature at all. How could LWP interfear when playing a blu-ray movie?

I'm not sure if LWP created the problem or not, but I never had this issue before the install of LWP... There have been a number of times that updates where issues for firmware to correct playback problems with certain BD titles... But as I said my friend watched it the night before with no problems, and didnt have LWP at that time...

If anyone has The Forbidden Kingdom and LWP and has some time on their hands if they could test it out and see if they have the same problem it would be a great help...

This being said, aside from the little sunny/cloudy icon on your city, I was under the impression that you can see wether satellite maps show over the entire continent/country/state (hence the following of Ike), but I did not see such an option. Am I missing something?

So you're saying that you can't watch the forbidden kingdom with LWP installed on your ps3?

I thought it updated the weather images every hour or two..also if your zoomed in too close you will be under the clouds and will only see clear "skies"

I'm trying it now. I had already watched The Forbidden Kingdom once so this will be a good test (only thing different now is that I installed the Life with Playstation app last night). Does it occur if you fast-forward to around 30 minutes in or do I need to just let it play at normal speed. Currently, I just having it playing but if you've seen the problem after fast-forwarding to the approximate timecode, it'll save time (since I'll do the same).

Maybe deleting all the stuff under the BD Data utility, including shared cache data) will help although I kind of doubt it (also don't delete the stuff if there's something you really don't want to lose, of course ). I don't think that stuff should even be accessed once the movie is playing but who knows.

Also, maybe you should try deleting Life with Playstation (if that's possible, I haven't tried that) and see if the movie works. If it does, get the Life with Playstation app again and see how it goes.

Thanks for checking OWA... the first time it happened was through normal play through the others was after skipping to the scene....

I will try clearing the cache, thisis something I didn't know you could do.... if that doesnt work I will be contacting Sony... I'm a little worried that if it is my PS3, as I bought it just over a year ago by a month, and don't think its under warranty still....

I see a lot of people saying they checked the weather?

Since it's powered by the weather channel I would assume there is some where to type your zip and get a 5 day forecast or at least one for today?Seems like a pretty easy thing to do. Am I missing something or are you close to one of the cities and just looking at the icon?

I am having a problem downloading the Life with Playstation. I had not folded for a while so when I did there was a F@H update followed by the aforementioned Life with Playstation update 1.00. The update starts, but after a few seconds stops and an error occurs. I had the same problem doing a SOCOM Confrontation update and the solution was to unplu any usb devices, which I have tried.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Do you have to be inside Folding to use this app? I never installed folding, and I don't see any option to download this app.
