I think what he's asking for is a scheduler so he can have it auto fold between midnight and 7 am if he wants to, without having to go fiddle with it every night. I think that would a very nice enhancement actually.

Yeah, that would be a nice addition.

That is on the list: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=790

And think this one specifically has a thread of its own: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1397

My favorite potential updates in the list:
1) the ability to show the CPU temperature (so I can shut it down if it is overheating - think several other people in this forum could benefit from that)
2) to be managed by utilities such as FAHMON http://fahmon.net/ so through a single interface I can manage the progress of all of my FAH clients

I think everyone should leave their PS3s on a little more...we are slipping a little bit below our trend line and have those folks over at AVS within our sights.

But first, we have to get over the AMD forums guys...serves them right for backing an inferior multi-core processor j/k

Collectively, this group

Default Fold-a-thon?

How about we all organize to commit to fold atleast 1 Work Unit during the first week of April? Lets see exactly how much processing power everyone on Team Blu-ray can contribute.

April 1st, Folding@Home Team Blu-ray.com will be no joke! Spread the word!

I agree with bluflu. For the 1st week of April, we leave all our PS3s on folding for the FULL week. 24/7 for 1 week. Let's show 'em what we can do!

blu-ray.com fold-a-thon! 1st week of April!

Works for me. My PS3 has been folding pretty much non-stop for the better part of a month now anyways

Also, according to EOC Stats, we passed up AVS forum just a little while ago

woooo hooo!

I went home to find 2 completed SMP units didn't transmit to stanford...I found some commands to force a send and changed my config to not use IE settings...units uploaded and credit received

I am now @ 176 on the team list

I broke apart an older PC last night to part out on ebay...too bad I couldn't run that as well (the wife would kill me...she complains about the jet engine running in the laptop to keep that AMD chip cool and turns it off at night)

Thanks for the help... still doesn't seem to be counting me. So I deleted it and redownloaded and reset everything, rejoined, etc. We'll see if it starts counting now, one thing I noticed is that before, I had it on autoshutdown after completing a project, and it wasn't working, it was still on in the morning, but now it actually shutdown, so it must've been corrupted.

I am in.

I have been folding non-stop with my PS3 for close to one year now.
I have even trainined by kids to not switch off the PS3 after they finished watching their movies and switch to the folding applcation.

Out team is projected by Kakaostats.com to reach 103 within a month at current pace. With increased effort from everyone, top 100 is within reach.

They seem to have the most up-to-date stats available for the project.
I like that you can see your production by hour of the day!

I have climbed to 147 (from 176 this morning) within the team...gotta love that SMP client!

**EDIT** I read it wrong, I went to 165 (it was line 147 on the user screen)

I was wondering when you would start shooting up the ranks.. as the hardware you mentioned in your earlier posts seemed quite substantial:

I suppose it will take a few days to get your points per day stabilized. I'd be curious how many points per day your OC'd quad core gets you running on Vista.

Not sure if you use fahmon http://fahmon.net/ , but I like it as it can monitor the status of multiple fah clients (except PS3s) on multiple boxes (it just requires you to set up shares), benchmarks work units across your machines, and gives you on demand points per day totals. According to Fahmon, my Q6600 oc'd to 3ghz linux box is generating 3300 PPD when running two #3065 work units.

Looks like I am picking up about 2100 points or so for each completed larger unit and I am completing those in under 16 hours each.

right now I am working on a 500,000 step unit and it has been completing 5,000 steps every 10 minutes keeping me right in line on the 16 hour completion status

Default We're doing well!!!

Guys, according to this stat tracking website, we are now Rank 118 and moving up. We've had an awesome past few months with over 2 million points and 3 million points in each of the last two months, respectively. So far this month we are on pace to do appx 3.7 million points. Keep up the good work!

I'm glad you posted that...
If you like using that site to track stats, please read here and consider throwing them a few bucks for their server upgrade that they are looking to implement to increase their compliation ability and give us more stats
