You are correct of course...
48 years in "Celsius" country vs. 7 years in "Fahrenheit" country... guaranteed to mess up the head.

Welcome to the team!

Reider, you may have to turn up that machine to 100%

75 PHLYDUDE-PS3 62208 144
77 reider 61008 168

1200 points ahead and some more (1700 or so) due to hit around 6 PM ET.
Plus, my two stand-alone single core machines have been chewing on some bigger than normal units for a few days now (with due times in May)

Hello Team Blu-ray.com. Just dropping by to congratulate you guys on your march into the top 100. Nice to see a young team with such enthusiasm on board. Maybe someday we'll see you up top battling with the big 4 teams.

Thanks for the kind words. It's fun to get together and see what we can acheive, plus it's nice to put things in perspective - the ultimate goal is to help mankind and we are all doing our part.

How the heck do some of your team's members push more than 6000 points per day?! With one guy doing 50,000!

Thats pretty insane, not just in the amount of hardware but the electricity costs too. And the heat generated I imagine...

It helps when you are in charge of a server bank somewhere and can use the processing power during downtimes to push out some units.

I'd be willing to bet that 50,000 points per day is coming from either a web-server company, a college or some huge company with many servers that only have user usage from 8 AM -5 PM and the rest of the cycles are used for folding.

A single q6600 can do between 4000-5000 ppd with a good overclock and the right configuration. Heres the simple way:

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1281497

And heres a slightly more complicated method, but you'll get a bit more production:

http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1265008

As for 50,000 PPD, you'll have to borg a datacenter for that. A lot of folders use boxes at work with permission. FLECOM, for example, has peaked at 140,000 PPD.

When you catch the folding bug, it's amazing what you can produce.

Exactly. Just remember the two important words in the F@H EULA: WITH PERMISSION. There have been a few times somebody forgot about those key words and ended up having their points zeroed. Plus, it brings bad attention to the project, to stanford, and to all of us who participate.

Happy Birthday to Folding@Home Team Blu-ray.com. Folding@Home Team Blu-ray.com will be one year old this Sunday. I probably won't have a chance to logon over the next few days, so...

Anyone else having an issue where the WU completes but it doesn't send? (on SMP client)

It say MPI is closing and sits there. Doing a sendall command doesn't send the completed WU.

I had same problem yesterday with one of my SMP clients; but "-send all" did work for me. What does the the FAHlog say after you invoke this command?

no units to send

which is fine if is did actually send it but it isn't doing anyhing...8 hours I let it sit and nothing

Now, it may have something to do with the shutdown I did while it was @ 33%...but when I turned it back on, it checked as being OK and continued folding.

I might have to wipe the program and re-install it

But the 2nd SMP process is running so I have to wait for it to complete and start completely fresh

Use -local if you run two SMP's. Before closing any one of the SMP's while the second is still running - back-up the Work folders and the queue.dat files for both clients.
Please check your Work folder, do you have any .dat files that belong to your old (unsent) wu's?

The categorization feature only works for music that was ripped from a CD by the PS3 itself AFAIK. It does analysis during the ripping process to add the metadata for categorization. Copying over MP3's doesn't have that analysis applied. Not sure if they needed the quality of the CD as a source to make it work optimally or not .. but AFAIK that's why it's happening.
