I can´t blame her with no one in the house and having that beast cooking away sucking up the power with no other use. If she left it on and the thing caught fire and burned down the house, I would be mad that she didn´t turn it off!!

ps3-mike. I have a donator rank of 19000 or so, and i only started with my PS3 in august, it only folds while i'm asleep.

Edit: Can I add my PC (not folding at the moment) under the same name as my PS3, so I get more points, or are they seperate?

Yes, you can fold under the same name with everything that you have. How do you think guys like FLECOM, ChasR and ota_trader are getting what they're getting?

Edit: I dont see ps3-mike on the list but I do see PS3mike. If thats you, then to answer your original question, about 30 days.

Just got my 2nd PS3 back so now it can be back on folding 24/7 again.
Have to leave it at the office because folding on it is considered "a waste of power" like was mentioned previously.
Can't wait to build a nice box at home. That won't be considered "a waste of power" because it surfs the internet

No, all work units crunched stay where they are. It would be a lot more overhead for Stanford to have to move points around.

Does anybody over here ever get over to the Official Folding Forum?

It is not a waste of power to use your PS3 and/or computer to process F@H all day, it is a donation of your energy to the cause.
I wish I cold run mine, but last weekend my basement flooded and I had to call an emergency plumber... long story short, I turned off my PS3 and all other electronics to prevent any potential problems, and they will stay off till i can clean the carpet tonight.
Hopefully I will be folding again later tonight or tomorrow.

Folding@Home is a MUST for every PS3 owner. Not only is it one of the few things available to man that helps man, but it is one of the things that keeps PS3/PSN/Online play Free.

Not just PS3 owners, but anybody with a computer thats a PIII or better. Some of us have been doing this LONG before Sony even began to dream up the PS3.

You won't really see anything different going on with the client. Once you finish your first work unit after joining the team, then you will see your user ID on the team list along with the points you have earned while on the team.

Also, welcome to the team

Quick question. I have a friend that wants to do this but she doesn't know if she'll be able to use her Mac. Can she still do it? Thanks.
