I'm downloading the software for my Macintosh now, maybe a 2.00GHZ Core 2 Duo will help out some.

We're now up to 400th ranking of 73,702 teams. Soon to climb into the 300s. Way to go folks!

115 work units and I'm 24th on the team list. Let's go, people! ! To the top! It's interesting to see where there is folding and where not on the old globe . . . Seems like only one island in Hawaii has Folding people (that sounds weird) . . . . and almost nothing in the southern hemisphere.

Just the number, after that look on team statistics, and it should bring up our statistics.

The PS3 will fold about 7-9 times faster than the fastest PC/Laptop last I heard. 7 Cores vs. 2 cores plus the PS3 is apparently wierdly suited for folding due to the architecture of the system. I am a member of the 2old2play team since they were one of the first to form a team. Regardless of what team you are on it is a really cool thing to be doing and I am very proud that PS3 can be a huge part of this. BTW, if you check you will see that since the PS3 came online the folding efforts have doubled worldwide. Amazing. ![]() |

I have noticed with my computer folding@home only uses one core on my dual core CPU . Basically my system stays at 50% load until I do something with it. Since I have it on a computer that I am just using as a media center system even if I am playing a blu-ray movie my system load is still under %90. But for the most part my computer has plenty of extra CPU power folding at home could be using.
