Yeah im from Calgary too. Kinda figured we'd be on there, but I can understand if Vancouver isnt even on there.

I just dislike, how they put this off, and it doesnt even do what the wii channel does... i do like everything real time, but give us more cities... that's about the only thing I can complain about besides like a 5 day weather outlook would be nice..

Its got room for improvement, no doubt, and it will come. Since this is free, I'm willing to wait.

We've also updated the science code to do the same functionality of what the GPU2 code can do today. However, people will notice that the ns/day will go significantly down. We want to stress that the points per day remains the same. This means that one gets more points/ns since the calculation is more complex, so don't worry too much if your ns/day is lower. LWP takes up a little extra compute time from the science, but not much. Most of the decrease in ns/day is due to the fact that it's doing a much more complex calculation (which is good for the science side of this).

I never have even touched folding home. I saw this thread, got excited and went home to install everything and check it out.

I never been so dissapointed in something. I hope there is more stuff added later.

I think people need to rethink their priorities if they are going to complain that $20 a month is too much for the chance to be able to help cure debiliating diseases. Perhaps rethink even having spent 600$ on the PS3 to begin with. There's too many people jumping on the green bandwagon thinking that wasting even a second of electricity without an immediate and tangible gain is a bad thing. They don't take the long term view on the good that can result from the folding projects.

My one big complaint so far about Life is if you leave it on the globe too long and have user selected music, it ends up showing what track is playing. I would like to be able to disable that and have it keep showing the globe. Either that or go black versus showing the playlist after a certain amount of time.

Another thing I noticed, my mp3s that used to play on 2 speakers now hit all my surrounds without me having had to change anything. Anybody else notice this? Was this due to Life or a prior update?

Overall I am digging it as a screen saver, I've seen some pretty cool news that is absolutely useless in my life, but it's still fun to see. Hopefully they expand this in the future and add in more cool features. I defintely see this as a cool background to be running while listening to some music not doing much of anything.
