no thats not normal. it should exit just like a game. i've had no problems with crashing. for those that do, try reinstalling

AFAIK the moods are only applicable to music that has been ripped from CD by the PS3 itself .. so it can grab/apply the mood metadata for those tracks during import.

MP3 copied over won't have the metadata necessary.

Mine does the same exact thing, so I assume thats just normal. But I saw someone else post to reinstall it so I'll try that when I get home today.

How do you reinstall? Can I delete Folding at Home and then reload it?

mine doesn't reset, however LWP/F@H is the only application that causes all my PS3's fans to come on and get louder than a 747.

It is a cool program, but I don't like it starting up music when it starts.
On the other hand it is nice to have it as an option. Did they change the button to access the stats page for our group for F@H? I should be on there somewhere but probably getting lower on the rankings.

I used to have links to more details but can't put my finger on them anymore. Can't remember if it's a lookup against the Gracenote system and if that song has the extra metadata applied it grabs it .. or if it does some analysis during import looking at the data etc. There was some conflicting info floating around.

The icon doesn't disappear, just the program. You press X on the icon as you did originally to install F@h.

If i'm folding a work-unit and turn the PS3 off. but not with the back kill switch will it still fold? Sorry, new to this.

If you turn the ps3 off, your work unit wll not fold, I don't think. Unless folding@home is running, no folding will happen. You can fold and turn your TV back on though.
