Is this BD title going to be available at your website?

I enjoy the random films Dark Force pull outta Code Reds vault (bill's wheelchair people bathroom) so there is hope for some classics to show up or even the potential new release of The Swinging Barmaids.

Looking forward to the Mirror, Mirror 2 release! Will finally pick up Freeway 2 while I'm at it. Seems odd to release part 2 first but I love both films (with a strong lean toward part 1). I've been very pleased with the quality of Dark Force releases so far. Keep 'em comin'!

For all the excitement of this "new" label, this thread has been dead for weeks.
If they don't release (or at least announce) something soon, the other labels will take all my money on BF.

November will see Dark Force bringing Mirror, Mirror 2: Raven Dance to their storefront. In addition, they will also be carrying Code Red's upcoming releases for The Swinging Barmaids and Steel Arena later in the month too.

I got tired of waiting for the blu (which would have been a blind buy), so I recently watched Mirror Mirror for the first time on Amazon - it's probably for the best that he's releasing the sequel first.

Can someone speak to the PQ of Kill or Be Killed. From what I remember in this thread it sounds like it looks like film, has some grain, isn't incredible but satisfying considering the source materials available.

We watched both tonight.

Project: Kill - Seeing Leslie Nielsen play a non-comedic role was enjoyable (it seems all I've seen him do since 1980 were parodies). Overall a pretty good "shot in Manilla" action flick. Wife liked this movie over Cop Killers.

Cop Killers - Pretty wild ride. Notable characters, for me, were the Ice Cream Man and the Hippie (drug/cash go-between) and his 2 girls. Some nudity. Two drug dealers leave a string of dead bodies from US-Mexico border to the hippie's cabin in the desert. Fair amount of tension and suspense.

Quality is pretty decent. Has a grindhouse feel (stray hairs, scratches, pops) -> nothing outrageous to take away from the movie. No waxing or artifacts. Maybe a minor jump or two in both movies. [Was into the movies and not taking notes ]

Not sure if that sells it for you, but I don't regret buying it or watching it.

From a post back in April:

Movie started with more video noise than I expected (vertical line(s) in image, other noise). With DFE's emphasis on "drive in" releases, immediately I was wondering if this was intentional damage and would continue throughout the movie. Fortunately, it cleared up after the opening. Vertical scratches and dust/dirt did reappear randomly during the film. I spotted a hair at least once. After the beginning sequences, this noise never overwhelmed the image. It never came close to pulling me out of the movie.

Color appeared good. Color did not "pop", but it didn't appear washed out or badly faded. Sometimes the skin tones were off and would vary between scenes and shots. Nothing terrible; no Martians or Orions to be found.

We didn't detect any issues with edges. No stairsteps or ringing, but we tend to get sucked into the narrative. So, nothing so blatant that we noticed it.

Image clarity comments: No waxy faces; no blurring. This wasn't an image where you could count hairs per follicle, but you still could see skin texture and blemishes in the close-ups. Perhaps some smoothing, but nothing severe to us.

PQ/AQ summary. Beyond the starting of the film, there were no severe issues to distract us. Any further distractions (scratches/hair) were mild and did not pull us from the movie. No severe damage (no image tearing, no jumps to indicate missing footage); if there was, we didn't notice it. Audio was fine for my needs; she noticed a few issues but I don't recall them.
