FYI per Facebook sounds like a couple more SOAWN bundles may go up tonight:
SOAWN + Freeway 2
SOAWN + Chaos

There are a lot of us that take issue with Bill's online persona and business practices, but are still happy to give him our business as long as he continues to provide us with good bluray editions of the movies we like.

Ever since Bill's Big Cartel got nuked and then Bill took ill, we have been forced into a situation in which Dark Force has become the gatekeeper for many Code Red titles and we are now at the Demon's mercy as to where and when we can buy them.

That's a bad situation for Code Red fans to be in, as we have to give DF our money if we want certain CR titles. SOAWN, for example, was announced ages ago and lots of people have been clamoring for it to be released. It's a DF exclusive right now, so what else can we do (other than reward ******* Ebay scalpers)?

I’m still hoping this is Dark Force growing pains (way more orders than he can handle, a title people actually want etc). I’m willing to wait and see how he course corrects from this.

He either needs to start taking pre-orders or needs to find enough help processing orders that he can keep the store up all the time.

If he pulls the same thing with FORCED ENTRY, we’ll know it’s all a sham.

Also, I was lucky enough to get SOAWN on the first night it went up. I would one hundred percent be in favor of pressing more so everyone can get a copy. However... the movie pretty much sucks. I watched the restored two hour cut and while it’s cool that Bill was able to restore it, this is one of the dullest goddamn movies I’ve seen recently. Amazing that this is the thing everyone wants.

LoL The Dark Force hype is scarier than the actual film and why it went to my bucket list after watching it on Youtube which I will do with all new CR titles from now on, I won't be supporting Bill like I have in the past if my loyalty comes 2nd to a eBay scalper.

I actually do want Dark Force to succeed, because I like the wild and crazy double feature releases and such, but I just want the logistics of doing business with the site to be vastly improved.

For me, there's an added layer of disgust due to how DeFalco has seemed to use Bill's health problems to build his own business. His Facebook posts and subsequent actions just reek of taking advantage of someone in a disadvantaged position for financial gain, and it feels slimy and gross.

And to miribeau (and probably Ruined) who will say DeFalco just has Bill's best interests at heart and is only trying to make light of a bad situation, I call BS. I don't believe that nonsense for a second.

Any company that offers BDs like FORCED ENTRY, COPKILLERS or THE POLICE CONNECTION should exist because we need as many outlets for such movies as possible, even if their business practices aren't akin to those of, say, Walmart.

Sites mention me as having been far more successful than I ever was at a variety of endeavours. That's just how the internet is and, last time I checked, David DeFalco didn't own the thing or have any more control over it than the rest of us. As to the issue of revolt, you may have missed how terribly people have been behaving about the repeated SoaWN sellouts. The commentary here has been awful enough but, on Facebook, it has been horrific. Some of the comments were removed. Much of it is very hateful.

Telling a man he should ask two of the handful of people who are willing to go against the hoard of angry people and openly acknowledge that, despite issues, they still like his company, because that will help him with the hoard of angry people, many of whom openly hate him, seems motivated by something other than kindness. I'm wondering why you would suggest that he cut ties with any customer, given how angry so many are right now.

This is what I've been saying but few have been paying attention. I think, at this point, people are just so shocked to see a title sell so quickly, preventing many from buying, that they haven't pressed pause on their anger long enough to remember that this is Bill's standard business model, with added advertising.

You and several others have made this kind of comment, as though you genuinely don't know what happened to cause the situation and, no matter how many times I say it, no one seems to understand what is going on. Can't say I blame you for not sitting there reading all the posts in this board, when you have a life, but this idea that DF has done this to everyone is simply incorrect. Dark Force has not manipulated their customers rather than simply offering their product for sale. All of their products are offered for sale, at their full remaining quantity. SoaWN is a Code Red title, owned by Bill Olsen. Bill has always listed a few dozen or a couple hundred at a time, which worked beautifully because he didn't advertise enough to sell out in an hour. The only difference in the sales model this time is that DF advertising of Bill's new product blew up demand beyond the number Bill consented to list in each single batch. Dark Force has never artificially inflated demand for a title and then taken it off their site or refused to list all copies. They don't own Code Red titles and can only list what they are allowed to sell, just like any other secondary retailer. As to what Bill did, he will surely re-evaluate his sales model when using additional advertising, to avoid this in future. He has already re-evaluated using different secondary sales companies for different releases, in an attempt to tailor the releases. He'll probably use more than one, so he can compare and plan. All that being what it is, this happened because the old model was used with new advertising, not because Dark Force was manipulating consumers.

What you appear to believe is that a middle aged man, in Bill's position, can't make his own decisions. That's fine and I won't judge you for your personal bias, as I have no idea why you came to believe that such a man must, by default, be some kind of victim. I hope it is not based in any kind of personal experience. However, Bill Olsen is known for being an incredibly strong-willed and stubborn man. The idea that anyone could manipulate him or push him to do anything just doesn't work for those of us who have followed the label for a long time. It isn't in Bill's nature to be dominated.

I was finally able to pick up a copy of SOAWN Saturday afternoon, but only because I left a film screening 30 minutes early(an event I made plans to go to weeks in advance!) just so I could go home and quickly check and see if the store was finally open before going to work a ten hour shift. Of course, all that was left was SOAWN/Carrier bundles so I had to buy another copy of The Carrier just to get a copy of SOAWN or take the risk of not buying it, and wait for it to go on sale again on some random day weeks from now for half an hour.

Though I guess I should be thanking The Demon for not selling enough copies of SOAWN by itself and forcing the bundle on me. From what I've read in this thread, The Carrier will be a highly sought after collectible that I can retire on years from now. After sitting on this highly sought after relic for a few years, I can unload my extra copy of The Carrier for trillions, buy my own private island, and spend the rest of my days watching my blu-ray of SOAWN while surrounded by beautiful women who cater to my every need.

Sadly I fear this is accurate.
Bill is being used here. It's sad to see.

They need to work on their search function.

If I browse new products, I don't see it, if I browse ALL Blu Ray, I don't see it.

How did you find it?
