IMO the store shuts down before adding new products to build hype. So everyone is talking about the store opening and the new products going live, awaiting for it to open.

It shuts down a few days later to clear the shipping backlog from the initial burst. Then reopens and sales will slow down because nothing new.

That doesn't make sense, especially since they announce new releases before closing the store down. It's not like Vinegar Syndrome where hype comes from not knowing what will be added.

How busy is Dark Force that even a single person can't handle additional preorders that won't ship for awhile anyway? Are customers for a niche label so turned off by potential shipping delays that it outweighs the missed sales from a closed store? Especially when they sell a product with an exclusive license?

Guess that's why I don't have my own label, since I'd rather take in as many sales as possible.

Yeah, it's backfired for them on me at least. I started last year finding it all inconvenient but still placing orders. But that over a year later these titles that were being put up 50 at a time are still readily available and flawed releases get pulled only to be put back up... I plan to wait until they have another site wide sale and know that i may miss out on some stuff...

The fancy slips, the closing of the store, the type of films released. It is obvious they want to be seen as the “new” Vinegar Syndrome. Sadly, the over the top behavior leads more often to over promising and under delivering. A shame, they have had some nice releases. With a bit of work, Dark Force could be a very solid Lower tier provider.

I hope that Dark Force will someday release THE YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS, also from director Peter Perry. YOUNG CYCLE GIRLS shares quite a kinship with Tarantino's DEATH PROOF.

Sorry guys apparently the Demon was invited this afternoon to a pool party at the home of the producer of CHAOS in the Hollywood Hills. Literally within 60 seconds of his arrival "chaos" ensued and a huge fight broke out between a group of bikini-clad women. Unfortunately messed up the day and the store getting reopened with THE BANKER.

Takes a lot more than that to create and release these titles gmb. Would absolutely not be possible if Dark Force had to be locked up inside place. We need to be out amongst the chaos to survive.
