Question: does The "Treasure of Jamaica Reef "include both cuts of the film or are the added scenes for "Evil in the Deep" just included as extras?

I wound up going with the Italian Pac - like the rest of us I've been wanting Terror Express for a while now, and Redneck is a small step in filling the Poliziotteschi hole in my collection. The trailer looks awesome!

Then I picked up a couple of double features: House on the Edge of the Park / Last House on Massacre Street, Hollywood High / Teenage Mother, Chaos / Don't Look in the Basement, and finally Ator: The Fighting Eagle. Not a bad haul.

Thanks El_Fez, you got some real good ones there. Terror Express is probably the biggest and most anticipated Dark Force release of the year. Very happy the way we got that one looking from the only existing negatives in Italy. Redneck was a huge amount of work between the US and Italian cut Senza Rangione. Hope you enjoy.

So here's the deal with that one. This was definitely a lost movie that we were lucky enough to find film elements for the new Hi-Def transfer. Initially we thought we had the EVIL IN THE DEEP cut but it turned out to be the original cut of TREASURE OF JAMAICA REEF. We weren't able to find film elements on EVIL IN THE DEEP, we were only able to find it in standard def and felt there wasn't enough new scenes to warrant a BD50 with the whole movie. So we included a featurette of the edited scenes and a fantastic new 35 minute 2020 on camera interview with the original cameraman Steve Haskett. Honestly the highlight of this obscure film is the great cast including Cheryl Ladd and the beautiful underwater photography in scope.

Thanks for interacting with the fans here, Dave. I haven't always been a gentleman with regards to your style and whatnot and I apologize for that (I have a weird sense of humor). In the end all that matters is that you keep acquiring and restoring obscure films for us. Most have been blind buys and ALL have been excellent!

Cinema84 I appreciate the apology but in all fairness I'm pretty easy to make fun of. Truth be told, I love these movies as much as all of you. It was extremely fulfilling to be able to make movies like I was able to in the past. It was very tough when that business took a turn and I was no longer able to get the budgets I was used to dealing with. Ironically I found the business of restoring and releasing cult titles on high def (Dark Force) to be equally fulfilling even though I did not actually make the movies. It can be very challenging to do proper releases on these movies. A post like this from you means a lot. Thank you and all the best to you over the holidays. DDD

It's just that Dave doesn't follow the pack. He doesn't do things just because everyone else does it that way. He marches to the beat of his own drum. You know that scene near the end of the movie Midnight Express, when Brad Davis starts walking in the opposite direction around the wheel? That's Dave. All the other labels are shuffling along, doing the same thing, but Dave goes against the grain. The Dark Forces work in mysterious ways, and ours is not to reason why.

.....or, maybe I'm just talking out of my ass, but that's how I would explain it.

So I threw a little love towards Grindhouse Video, too. They had God's Bloody Acre / So Sad About Gloria and Copkillers / Project Kill for sliiiiiightly cheaper than the Superstore, so I jumped on those too. And think that closes out Black Friday for me!
