Was there ever any word on why Primal Rage disappeared so fast?

Debating if I should resort to inflated eBay prices. Would obviously rather support Dark Force directly.

Also for those who are interested, the replacement Magdelena slipcover is up for purchase for $1 on the Dark Force website. I like this artwork a lot better than the original slipcover.

Off topic: Looks like we lost the ability to search within a thread after the update, or am I missing something?

Really doesn’t seem right that I’m supposed to pay $6 to replace a defective item.

This crossed my mind, and I knew it was going to come up here. For me, there was a couple things I wanted from the Dark Force store anyways so it was easy to hit the free shipping threshold with those included, so not a big deal. I don't mind an extra $1 for the replacement.

I get the frustration for those with no plans to purchase anything any time soon though.

This was literally the first DF title I’ve ever purchased so I have no idea when they’ll release something I want again. Not exactly a great experience.

I didn’t pay just for the disc, dude. This is a tired argument. We’re collectors - the packaging is part of what we’re paying for and you know it.

Agreed, and even with the peeling issue the only problem with the slip is that it won't glow. In a lit room it will otherwise look the same. I was one that pre-ordered and would have qualified for the replacement slip, but it's such a non issue that I didn't bother troubling Dave with the replacement request.

It's a valid point. Slipcovers a lot of times are incentive to purchase the disc early at full price rather than waiting to get it on sale in the future.

If the slipcover is heavily promoted as a selling point, and this one definitely was, there's some responsibility to deliver it as promised.

This is a strange case. The original slipcover is flawed, but it's not a disaster by any means. I'm surprised they even bothered with a replacement at all. I wouldn't have complained about it, so I don't care about chipping in a little to get the second one.

Yeah, I don't see it anymore either. Hope it comes back because it was really useful sometimes.

Isn't this the one Synapse was holding hostage? Sorry, I'm confused.

You don't have to pay 6.00. We have offered it for free with any next order you make. This whole slipcover fiasco ended up causing us big problems. First off the manufacturer was unable to replace the glow in the dark slips due to the high cost and they could not guarantee if they did it would not peel again. Second it would cost us a lot of money if we had to replace everyone that initially received the glow in the dark with the new one in shipping charges. So we have asked customers to work with us on this issue so that it doesn't cause us even bigger problems that could interrupt the flow of all the great upcoming releases we have on the way.

No. That's Rock n Roll Nightmare. Hard Rock Nightmare never even got a DVD release.

We appreciate that TripleHBK but quite honestly we have not seen one slip that didn't glow real well. You have to shine it under a bright light for a few and the when the lights are out the figure of Magdalena glows awesome. Although there were quite a bit of complaints about the peeling issue, no one actually wanted to return it and as soon as we had to discontinue and pull it, now everyone wants it.
