We are doing some big extras for HUNDRA which include all new interviews with the legendary Matt Cimber (writer/director) and John Goff (screenplay). So its delayed the release a bit, but maybe before the end of the summer. LOW BLOW we are trying to get the original camera negative, which we expect to but has also caused delays with the release.

Hey Dark Force...solid releases you guys do...two questions...I know your doing a new edition for forced entry and glad to see it. What makes this different...are there two different cuts of the film and your combining the two or going with the more popular cut, etc? And I was wondering if you'll ever get into the audio commentary game. You do a lot of interviews and featurettes, but never commentaries and it would be a nice added bonus on top of what you already offer. Appreciate the work you do and hope to hear back.

Hey SMB1982 thank you very much for your feedback and question, which is a very good one. So it turns out there were quite a bit of Forced Entry/The Last Victim editions. The two we previously released were pretty short director's cuts on each version. Apparently The Last Victim came first in the 70's and with a PG rating. The new version we are putting out of Forced Entry came out in the US in theaters in 1981 and contained additional attack scenes on females. In the previous Forced Entry the director used the original camera negative of The Last Victim which he cut down and added some very poor additional rape sequences that were very poor quality, probably up resed. Fortunately the US theatrical version we recently uncovered is excellent quality and consists of CRI and original 35mm negative on the rape scenes. Still little confusing but the bottom line is this version will be the most complete there is other than a VHS version which has slightly more and we will likely also include this version on the disc. This one will also come with an awesome limited edition custom slipcover. Lastly regarding the commentaries we do have them on some of the releases and will try to do more where we can in the future. Who was his wife? Everybody seemed to have good things to say about Joe Spinell. In an interview, likely from the 80s, he was told about Tom Savini trying to distance himself from Maniac, calling it sleazy, and Joe had some choice negative words about Savini when he heard about it.

My father passed away from a brain aneurysm. Because he drank every day at that point (usually just beer), his blood became to thin and he had an almost zero chance of recovery. Since Joe was known to enjoy drinks, his blood would have been quite thin, making it much easier to quickly lose lots of blood. Bill Lusting contributed his death to drinking and drug use. Bleeding though, could have been part of it. Bill Lustig, who he had been friends with for a while, likely knew something when he finally said that in an interview about the drinking and drugs. He didn't imply he ODd though, but he was in bad shape.
