He knows that it was problematic...Defalco has directed a couple of films. He chose to promote the WWE way . I did notice quite a few Facebook zombies commenting about the “complainers” from here.

Those FB groupies should maybe stick to posting pics of their dinner or of their feet at a beach ?! A good picture of food about to be consumed it’s worth AT LEAST 10 “likes” .

There is a pack of these people that seem to have a passive interest in Cinema. They don’t see understand or see the issues with this release and instead of try to understand the issues resort to calling everyone “complainers and Crybabies”. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

Hey Dark Force,

Any chance Trick or Treats and Savage Streets could be sold at your cartel? I know they are older releases, but I only got on the blu-ray train recently and missed them when they where widely available. Just Before Dawn re-stock would also be pretty cool...

If I owned a home video label, those people would NOT be my target demographic. I really wouldn't care if I "only sold 300" because the "business" wouldn't be my primary source of income. Anyone who is in this just for the money really needs to rethink things.

Bill claims that the last few copies of Trick or Treats are on his store now. I imagine they’ll be gone shortly. Who knows though.

This is all true and the marketing style appears to be working, but remember there are some like myself and i am sure others (at least one posted in thie thread) who feel in terms of content the DC is a significantly better film than the TC. And thus are willing to put up with the less than ideal PQ for the DC, since while flawed pq is still decent. Also worth keeping in mind TC has PQ issues as well despite less severe. Per CR the DC workprint had severe damage and that is why dnr was used.

In other words i see no problem claiming the DC is the best available/working presentation of the Carrier to date both in terns of content and PQ. Issues withstanding it still blows away the DVD. I could see how the TC is a tease for those that prioritize film grain and dont care about the DC content, but DC is still decent and has better color than the TC. There have been many major studio releases with far more severe PQ issues than the DC of the carrier.

And thus even with nonfunctional TC the carrier DC may still be a solid pickup for some.

Damn, hope the Demon can pull through on this one. Fleabay prices are outrageous for these titles.

Bill already admitted that he had to DNR the heck of it the DC because the elements were in bad shape and full of white specs. Nothing decent about that transfer which is exactly what I said from the very beginning. No restoration done just turned the DNR knob full blast and scrubbed all detail leaving a complete wax job.

Just a lot of hype from The Demon(specially, since he was on the hook after paying Bill upfront and in cash ) and Banana Man on a desperate and sad attempt to sell copies of a gimped and defective release. But yeah, keep parroting the same thing .

Wasn't this supposed to sell for a premium at eBay? Think again ...current listing of this coaster for - NEW copy $19.99 + $4 shipping and nobody is buying .

Best not rewrite history.

Like anything else it depends on supply. Once Diabolik sells through their remaining 50 copies prices will likely go up unless Diabolik is able to/wants to restock, since DF will also no longer be selling it individually.

I guess it's because I want to get the Williamson bundle, maybe the shipping costs were set higher on this one...
It was originally $12 for 1 title then $2 for every additional title so you've had 50% off the $12. I wish the ones I want were in stock because the shipping is crazy cheap...might still pick some stuff up.

Come on...I know you to be sharp. Bill has hundreds of Carrier BD discs stashed away in one of his vaults. Bill will sell all of those no matter how long it takes. They will appear at his Cartel...make an additional supply available to DF, whatever. The Carrier CR BD will be around on/off for YEARS to come .

*For those that missed out on Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker...DONT despair, DONT go to ebay. I know Bill stated he will not repress but he will. I predict that BBNM will be repressed in six months or less .

GOD not MAMA
Bought the DVD blind many years ago when Bill had a sale and was pleasantly surprised. Quality regional sleaze with that oozing 70's vibe.

I dont debate that but same goes for necromancy and that sells for a pretty penny. Even House that Vanished is already selling at 35-40 regularly on ebay and its still available for 21.95 at screenarchives.

So yeah I think once diabolik sells thru their remaining 50 then its going to cost more on ebay assuming they dont restock.

This isn't Dave but it is a spokesman for Dark Force Entertainment and I can answer that question for you. He has made many indie movies between 1 and 3 million dollar budgets including 2 for Lionsgate that were sold worldwide in which he was hands on from start to finish. Although he did need to learn certain aspects of the film restoration process it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out. He has the best of both worlds...a real filmmaker and a real hardcore fan. I believe that's what gives Dark Force a major edge above any of the other labels

it's a trade off though...you prefer a bunch of white dots and bad lines?...the place we use in LA is the best in the business and the work done on THE CARRIER met their high standards. We understand that some people prefer the look of the film before the DNR but when there is a ton of dirt and wear it looks pretty bad regardless

We'll look into it just for you. Did notice Trick or Treats on the Code Red cartel. Banana Man didn't mention that one to us so maybe he was holding out on us. Maybe if we put his head in a vice-like headlock he'll give in?
