With the doc on board and a 4K ... this will be the ultimate release. Amazing times.

I don't know if this would be at all feasible but @DemonDave - would be cool if you could add a scan of the 35mm theatrical print as a bonus as well. I just love those.
Thanks for the input Zeti. This will be the ULTIMATE release on the biggest cult film ever sought after by the fans in home video history. The documentary is awesome and now with the surprise twist ending with Dark Force now the official owner of THE FARMER after all the past history and controversy is truly ironic and life imitating art! Furthermore the DF new release will be far superior to Walt's HD release. He did a very outdated transfer they did when he first bought the movie almost 20 years ago when they did telecine, not the high end 2K scans they do today. We will guarantee to have this awesome historical movie looking INSANE in every way! Very exciting times for home video courtesy of your favorite cult label...DARK FORCE!

Dave, will Dark Force's release of The Farmer be a 4K Blu-ray only release?

No, we will be having major announcements very soon regarding this massive release. It will be incredible and right now I can confirm it will definitely be a 4K UHD/Bluray combo but with so much more. We will be going all out for this one. It should be absolutely epic and will definitely rock the entire cult video world.

Actually Brads many of the 4K releases are 4K/Bluray combos...like DEAD PIT, FINAL EXAM, JULIE DARLING, VELVET SMOOTH...ETC. And I can now one hundred percent confirm THE FARMER will be as well.

Cool I never picked up the Scorpion Video release on Blu-Ray, but have always wanted to watch this film it has been on my backlog for years I just never got around to watching it. I'll be buying this immediately day one same with any other big titles you guys have planned I believe one of them is Deadly Spawn unless that's Synapse.

Not sure I would recommend a blind buy for this film. It's on Tubi for those that are interested.

I'm generally easily pleased, I have been blind buying a ton over the past couple years and very rarely do I hate anything I've snagged that way. Not saying they are all winners but I can generally find enjoyment out of a huge variety of films.

Wish I could say the same. I stopped blind buying earlier this year. Just too many films in my collection that I've watched once and have no interest in ever watching again.

This day and age most things one is skeptical on can be sampled in some way, I still buy the rare blind one here and there. I try to buy films I'd consider 6/10 or better. Any closer to average I don't think it's worth bothering to own. You don't sell off the stuff you know you won't rewatch? I've bought some VS blind and even if I don't hate it, if I just know off a fresh watch I'm never gonna want to revisit it I sell it off. I have limited apt space now but don't feel my mentality will be any different if/when I'm in a house with more space. I just believe in curation over hoarding. I've probably sold 150+ blus in the past 3 years. Some of them were just blus I upgraded to 4k though. I feel like a lot of people here just like filling shelves. Once you cross over 4k blus the average watches per disc, lifetime, is just gonna be damn low to justify warehousing a case for the rest of your life. I just don't see the practicality of owing 8-10k+ discs, some people think they're the Library Of Congress. And if they have to move that shit, forget that.

Someone that owns 250 discs would probably feel the same way about your collection of 1900. It's all perspective.

Count is off via the forums but more accurate in their app, I'm still barely over 1k. And I didn't start buying blus till 2010 so that's amassed over 14 years. 250 if that's all someone has after years and years is totally fine, that's more someone just owning their top 250. It is relative but I've never had intention to grow beyond 3-4k and I don't anticipate hitting that mark for another 10-15+ years and by then physical media could be dead.
